chest and key in minecraft?

adding a new chest doesn't make sense, but what about a new technique, namely adding a key to open a new locked chest. keys can be obtained by looking for them as treasure or take it from a piglin

    I like the idea, but I still think cobblestone chests are highly needed. Chests and keys would be assigned a name and color. The chest can not be broken unless the player has the key in their off-hand.

    I agree, but only on the condition that the chest is magical, therefore it is durable and does not drop loot when destroyed.

    No, ender chests are used to transport items across dimensions.

    maybe this would only work for adventure maps and could only be obtained via commands or creative inv.
