Petting Mechanics

Petting would require an open hand and could work like this:

Petting your pet: By doing the hit/break action on your pet or mount, you’ll pet them

Petting others pets: By doing the place action on someone else’s pet, you pet them! Players can’t pet others mounts because they don’t have the same bond, sadly.

Additionally there could be a Monster Hunter Easter Egg for petting llamas!
