Making Handles out of Bones, Bamboo, Blazerods, and more!

    Or maybe even just having different/primitive weapons made from such materials. For example a stone club with bones for a handle, a bamboo spear made with flint that functions similarly to a trident, etc. These weapons wouldn't do as much damage as most and would be far less superior in terms of durability, but it would allow for diverse, disposable weapons if ever caught in a pinch.

    I love the idea, but instead of using an anvil this could work well with the new smithing table crafting system

    It seems to me that a blaze rod handle is a bad idea, and bamboo is already involved in the crafting of a stick. A handle made of bones, horns - quite historical and applicable. I believe that winding the handle on the smithing table with thread, leather, wire (this was also done) will increase recovery after hitting / breaking the block.

    These are made purely for cosmetics to expand storytelling, like trims. So if a player wants to boast their time in the nether and have a flame handle looking sword, they can. This isn't supposed to directly tie to crafting but more so what can be substituted as a handle and show where someone's been
