Make them blend in to the biome they are found in. Maybe also have different types of houses like villages.

Lore! Love the new structures to go with archeology

I think the ruins are great! Super fun to dig them up and find what loot is inside. The trail ruins are a little difficult to find though. Maybe having a Trail Ruins Explorer Map sold by Cartographer Villagers would be a good way to help players find these new structures, similar to the Ocean and Woodland explorer maps that already exist!

There should be a map that leads you to a random trail ruins within 1000 blocks, sold by cartographer villagers.

The shape of the structure as placed by a structure block looks mildly inappropriate/suggestive

Very colourful, if it was old, it should be dirty, it would be good to add dirty terracotta, and by adding water to it, it would be clean, just like powder concrete, I know they would have to add a lot of blocks, but this is my opinion

It is certainly a busy structure with a pallet that isn’t a good busy, but a bad one. It looks like a lump, frankly.

Good morning, I suggest that the structure should change the blocks depending on the biome, for example, in the red sandstone tables with terracotta, sandstone desert or other related blocks, among other biomes.

They should also improve the loot, for example enchanted books, diamonds, weapons, other rare items, to encourage more people to visit the new structures.

    Thank you very much

Debería mojang arreglar un poco esta structura ya q parece echa por un niño pequeño de 5 años esta bien q este destruida pero no tan enterrada tendrían q dejar un poco más de aire y q se adapte a los biomas del juego

I'm sure the structure itself is still in development but can I suggest some more interesting loot tables? Instead of standard glass panes what if they had special clear glass blocks with more mellow colors and less noise on the texture? What if they dropped more than one item for the common loot?

I love archeology and I love the pottery shards so much. However in this beta, I spent 6 hours locating and telaporting all over my world to temples, trail ruins, and ocean ruins, and I still couldn't get enough shards to make half the pots.
Please make them less rare! It's not very fun to brush up a wooden hoe or piece of wheat when I've dug out hundreds of suspicious sands and gravel trying to craft the beautiful pots that I really want!

The loot should be a combination of what you find in villages and other archaeology features.

Maybe parts could be detached and they are kinda scattered around the main tower (I'm the same person who posted the last comment with the super long sentence.)

This structure is PERFECT. Don't listen to the kids saying it's ugly, that's the whole point. This looks like one of if not the oldest structure in Minecraft. It's extremely ambiguous what these used to be and that's a good thing, Minecraft needs more mystery and randomly cobbled-together structures (like those old brick pyramids). This feature honestly needs no tweaks - I'd rather the dev team spend their time on the next structure, and the next! This game can never have too many structures, and none of them have to be perfect minigames in and of themselves.

I personally hate this structure and I want it to be either changed or removed from the game. It's so random, made out of mud bricks, terracotta and glazed terracotta blocks. Its shape is weird, it doesn't look anything like someone's old basement or a house. Even a desert well looks better than those trail ruins. I don't know, maybe you should make it similar to ocean ruins or a witch hut (or in the middle), because the current view of the structure is disgusting. I hope you will consider this comment and do something about the trail ruins. Thank you.

Adding more small air pockets within the walls of the rooms could be really good for pushing the idea of a lived-in space. Right now, they are a bit claustrophobic, and don't feel like a real livable space yet. More open room, less than but similar to the ocean ruins, or the shipwrecks, just enough to speed up uncovering ruins / looking for suspicious blocks a little, and to push that space. Ancient cities are a great example of a build of a protected/strong underground space, and we could find weaker or even older examples like this through the ruins.

Rarer or more complex drops would also incentivize excavation, like items covered in clay that have to be cleaned in a cauldron, rare pots that hold items/exclusive shards, or items trapped within hardened sandstone (chisel?). These blocks could generate slightly around the structure so players mining/digging would be made aware of it naturally, and can uncover it slowly, rather than it already poking out. Maybe items could be higher up if they were lighter or harder to bury, things like bones (dog interactions) or small bundles. Players who fully excavate it would get more rewarded and engage further with the ruins. A new boss could even be uncovered through this, akin to getting 3 wither skeleton skulls.

I think adding many variations (biome/high/low/even dimension) will also keep the engagement enjoyable and continue to be a worthwhile investment for players! So far it looks really promising but it needs to be pushed further!

I think adding better variety to better blend in with the respective biome would be a great idea, I also think the color palette needs some tweaking. I also see a great possibility for lore, maybe these are the ruins of an ancient race, possibly even the ancient builders responsible for the ancient city!

Mud crafting recipe should involve water bucket as people rarely carry around water bottles. In return, more mud should be crafted at once (8 dirt around water bucket = 8 mud)

Definitely improved in the latest snapshot!

You know what would be extra great to go with this structure, though? Terracotta stairs, slabs and walls. It would add so much diversity to terracotta-based builds, not just to this structure, but for the players as well.

I think it would be better if the trail ruins are generated in a kind of cave according to the size of the structure connected with the spaghetti caves so that it is more comfortable to dig in them, and it is more exciting and interesting to find one or that they can be generated in the aquifers or united near the mineshaft.

In the webpage for Minecraft 23w16a (a 1.20 snapshot) it said that the chests could contain "Tinted Glass Panes" but there are no Tinted Glass Panes

I think they should keep the sand in trail ruins but only on the top layers and/or when in contact with water

Trail Ruins can be found in the forest, I think over time, tree roots may have entered the structure. So I thought it would be nice to add some rooted blocks to the trail ruins, the tree roots might make it look older.
