I think Trail Ruins is a great idea! Buildings made of terracotta and mud bricks are in a colorful style that has never existed before, and the fact that dyed glass and candles can be excavated suggests that there must have been a civilization with excellent dyeing technology at that time. Also, some of the buildings are reminiscent of blacksmiths and Pillager outspots, and it's fun to imagine tales of fallen civilizations. Part of the structure has collapsed due to the passage of many years, but I think it is a good decision that the collapse is limited to the extent that it is possible to restore the original shape. In fact, I still enjoy restoring these buildings and recreating what they used to be!
But I think there are some things that could be improved. When the ruins of the journey are generated, in the java edition all but the top of the tower are buried in the ground, whereas in the bedrock edition most of them are exposed. I hope both editions will eventually bring the two generational styles together, as the fun of unearthing hidden things and exploring weathered architecture is both irresistible.
Also, I think it's an interesting idea to combine smaller units to create a single house, but I think that there aren't enough cyan terracotta and brick-style units in the building blocks.

This is a very good concept but its pretty out of place. When I find these structures they stick out a lot and doesn't blend in with the environment. It looks out of place and the colors contrast the biome. For example I found one in a forest and it wasn't pretty to look at. I do believe there should be different variants of these structures from many cultures.

Can you add a blacksmith from the trail ruins and even the church to pray harder from the Gods?

I think it should look more like a buried castle battlement with ramparts. It could be an outpost of the people that build the ancient city.

I especially like the look of this structure because being buried in the ground it is important to have a wide variety of blocks so that what you discover while digging is exciting. In normal survival mode, you don't see the full structure, but only small parts.

I know this might seems like an r/unpopularopinions post, but tbh I love the fact that it's being a little ugly and messy

I think it would be really great if we could find a map for trail ruins, like Ocean Monument or Mansion maps.

I like the concept of the structure's loot table, providing resources for players to reconstruct and decorate the ruins, however think it could use a few minor tweaks to this end.

For a start, including specifically the hanging signs as opposed to ordinary signs seems only to be due to the item sharing an introductory update with the structure, while an ordinary sign is more fit to purpose for decoration as the player can augment it with a chain by their decision; the reverse is not possible. Signs could also utilize a wood type matching the surrounding biome, making sense historically but also automatically matching to the player's available materials for consistent decoration.

While stained glass makes sense historically, the structure's underground placement presents the player with very few opportunities to apply it. I could suggest removing the stained glass from the loot table and instead including it in the existing structure, giving a clearer suggestion these buildings once existed above ground and ultimately not filling the table with items the player is unlikely to use.

The clay blocks in the table stand out unusually, being the only full block. I could suggest replacing it with clay's material form, or including the occasional clay block in the original structure.

Finally, leather (for item frames), empty maps (to incentivize cartography) and banner patterns (to incentivize use of banners in decoration) could make for useful additions to the loot table.

Additionally to my previously uploaded thoughts; ran out of message space:

The dyes provided by the structure's loot table do not particularly correspond to those making up the structure, supplying the player with redundant colors and leaving them without access to those necessary for reconstruction.

To elaborate: the orange and light blue colors of terracotta appear in small quantities within the structure, and can be easily obtained using the other dyes provided by the structure in combination with those easily accessed in a variety of biomes. While the inclusion of these colors isn't particularly problematic, they are less useful in crafting other colors, and providing them limits an opportunity to lean into the color mixing crafting system.

On the other hand, cyan dye is not supported by the loot table, is difficult to get a hold of without access to cactus, and its respective clay color is applied in high quantities in this structure. To ensure a player will be capable of completing a structure without necessitating access to a desert, I recommend providing green or cyan dye in the loot table, or introducing another method to access the dye not dependent on a particular biome. Alternatively, the structure's palette could be biome-dependent, using materials available in the surroundings.

add some new blocks for the structure. This way it makes the building feels 'ancient' considering it came from the so called lost culture, so there should be something exclusive, right? It can also be mixed with unused building block like mud, terracotta, diorite, granite, etc.

The idea is super cool but the recent trail ruins are looking real ugly.Especially the glazed terracota blocks make them look realy bad.And also I think there should be more variants with different block patterns. And maybe the recent pattern should be changed completely.

The structure is too broken, it should be more structurally clear. Now it looks more like a dump of blocks

I like the idea, needs more exclusive loot as mentioned. They're also like... REALLY ugly...

I like the concept about the trail ruins, the only thing and like this ruins don't have any wood blocks , could be good if only be found in the Badlands where you can find those materials and may be also in the swamps or in the mangroves. Find those structures in middle of the forest, jungle or in the ocean or cold oceans is not make sense.

But I love the concept and I like to try to restore or find what can be happened with lost culture.

They're a bit too messy and unrewarding

But I like the concept of them.

I think some rooms look decent and some look bad and I think it needs more rooms that look intact and have more consistent block palette

Somehow something like a new mob like an ancient parasite or something similar is missing.

I love them! People complain that they're ugly when seen fully excavated, but that's not the point. Slowly digging them up and discovering more rooms was really fun! I really felt like an archaelogist.

You should be able to duplicate pottery shards by surrounding the pottery shard with eight bricks. This will make pots more widely used and accessible.

First of all, I would like to thank the developers for developing a new structure!

It's definitely a pretty interesting structure, but I also think it can look a little messy using glazed terracotta blocks.

Personally, as the newly released game "Minecraft Legend" is a legend of Minecraft's past
I think it will be more interesting that the structure that comes out of the prequel game "Minecraft Legend" appears in "Minecraft" in an old state.

The village in 'Minecraft Legend' was really beautiful.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the addition of trails ruins very much. I would like something that reveals more of Minecraft's past, like more specific structures. Perhaps, even the Savannah Ancient Temple Upgrade

A estrutura está confusa talvez um redesenho se encaixasse melhor

Talvez se existisse mais recompensas como itens novos jóias, minérios como rubi seria mais interessante pois atualmente não a motivo para ir a estrutura fando com que ela fique abandonada

Amazing structure with cool lore, would recommend adding more gravel and dirt and sand to the road portion so its easier to just follow to the corresponding structures on it rather than mining. Making this a more shovel/ brush needed structure rather than mining.

Looks great mojang! But I feel it's missing something. Lots of the houses seem empty so I feel that you're missing out on an opportunity to put some functional blocks in. Perhaps a crafting table or furnace in a house?
Or maybe a composter nearby? I know this ancient civilization had farms, so this would just make it feel more alive

Also, this structure needs more variety! As in it should have a chance to generate bigger with lots of buildings and a chance to generate very small too.

Love the feature and while others say it's "ugly" I find it to be the point it's supposed to be ruined not displayed like other structures and while it does stick out you'll have trouble finding it so my suggestion is the cartographer selling a map for it.

OK I'll put my horse in this race first off the trail runes while could use a tlc don't look that bad yet 90% of the comments call it ugly I do think it could look a bit better but I think it should like many others have stated be a biome specific idea the ruins in the dessert could be more sandstone based the ones in the jungle could be mossy based, the ones in the savanna could be the ones we currently have, swamp could have muddy bricks as well as plains and snowy biomes could have a cobblestone with packed ice feel and loot should of course be cleaned up a little I love the shards here but loot should be biome based as well this includes shard types but in a mountain biome emeralds should be more common and in swamps coal/diamond would make more since.

I really like the ruins, they give this myterios and old feeling of an prehistoric civlisation. Also I like that some unusal block like terracotta and glazed teracotta was used, they give this extra effect of wierdness. Maybe you could add slightly diffrent ruins to diffrent biomes they spawn in, like using other blocks or a diffrent layout/ spawnheight.

I really look forward to the 1.20 update, there are som really really great features!
