MAGICAL RUINS
New "magical veins" block; sniffers dig up ancient fireflower seeds.
ANCIENT FIREFLOWERS
They glow and emit firefly-like particles, all in one of seven colors, and transform into orbs of supercharge when inside crystal cube.
ORBS OF SUPERCHARGE
Each one has the color of a corresponding fireflower. Superpowers given:
(1) For five seconds, user teleports seven blocks in the direction they moved to, half a second of cooldown per move.
(2) Invincible for five seconds.
(3) Complete invisibility for 15 seconds.
(4) Ores, containers and mobs seen outlined by glow for one minute.
(5) Much luck for one minute.
(6) Much haste for six seconds.
Cooldown of 45 minutes per orb type.
CRYSTAL CUBES
Crafted with amethyst shards in rhombus shape. Translucent, purple, can showcase one item, emits redstone if similar item/block is nearby. Some items have more effects if you crouch:
Custom light levels. Emission starts null, using flint and steel increases it by one, reverts to zero by ink sac, is kept after retrieving block with any pickaxe.
Displaying weather. Use water bottle, weather particles inside if appropriate.
Detecting mobs. Use mob head or spawn egg, mini mob gets inside, emits redstone if a similar mob is nearby.
Preventing enderman griefing. Use eye of ender, affects large radius.
Decoration. Snowball makes it like a snow globe, sculk makes trapped souls inside...
