Edible Sunflower Seeds

If you hit a sunflower with a hoe it would drop 2-4 sunflower seeds and not the sunflower item. If you hit it any other way, it only drops the sunflower item. Sunflower seeds can be planted in farmland and will grow until it is 2 blocks tall. Sunflower seeds can be smelted in a furnace/smoker and you would get Baked Sunflower Seeds. Baked Sunflower Seeds are edible and heal 2.5 hunger points.
