Corn

Corn could be a naturally spawning plant that is 2 blocks tall. If you hit corn with a silk touch tool/shears you would just get the corn block similar to how punching sunflowers work. If you hit corn without silk touch, you will get 2-5 corn seeds and 1-2 ears of corn. Corn seeds can be planted in farmland and will grow until they are 2 blocks tall. Ears of Corn can be eaten, healing 3.5 hunger points. If you put an ear of corn in a crafting table you will get 9 corn kernels. You can also craft them back into an ear of corn. 1 Corn kernel will heal 1 hunger point. If you smelt a corn kernel, you would get Popcorn! Popcorn heals 0.5 hunger points because it's an unhealthy snack.

9 corn kernels would heal more than an ear of corn? I think corn kernels would be the same as corn seeds rather than a different food source. Also smelting one corn kernel would give you... one piece of popcorn? I think popcorn would be smelted from a corn ear, resulting in a big pile of popcorn.

I think this can be added since the mojang said they would add more types of vegetables and fruits
