New biome which is a super dark cave, but the organisms are bioluminescent. It would only generate in underwater portions (would need to bring back some of the old waterlogged caves) which would give life to these underwater dead zones. I think the old waterlogged caves were better despite the technical problems. If they were somehow reincorporated, it would created breathtaking areas (look in the drip stone caves with them, it’s AMAZING). If this isn’t possible, maybe just make the aquifers bigger). It would have things such as anemones, jellyfish, glow squid, as well as some more fantasy inspired creatures (all bioluminescent of course). But that’s nothing compared to this. . . A new boss! It would be similar to an oarfish (but bigger, darker, and scarier with big saber teeth). It could live in a dark cave filled with bone blocks. It would eat all of the other mobile organisms in its ecosystem. The lack of mobs in its area could signify that you are approaching its lair (along with the occasional bones). When defeated, it would drop one of its teeth which could be crafted into a dagger (maybe take inspiration from dungeons?). I think this would make the caves feel much more diverse because as of now, there’s only the three (awesome) biomes.
