Updated "You Died" Screen Experience

In the latest Bedrock Preview/Beta (1.19.80.20) we’ve made some changes to the “You died” screen. It's available to everyone in Preview/Beta, except if you have add-ons applied. We’re still working on it, but we wanted to give you an early look at what we’re building.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this new design! Let us know in the comments — what do you think?

    it honestly is horrible in my opinion, getting rid of the original death screen would feel like getting rid of the creeper from the game, i don't suggest changing it as it could probably anger a lot of people, i personally could never get used to this change bc i have been playing with the same screen old death screen for almost 10 years at this point, please keep it the same

    Though its really good, there is a big gap between the "YOU DIED!" and "RESPAWN" button. To fill some of the gap, you guys could add a "TITLE SCREEN" or "MAIN MENU" button to the screen.

    I feel like removing the main menu button is something that should be changed, but everything else about it is amazing.

    I love the look, but it should be an option to use "Legacy death screen" For the people that don't like it.

    I really like the way it zooms out and it just looks nicer to me, fits with the new menus.

    I like it ! But not sure why main menu button is not showing in android anymore . There is only one button to respawn is it a bug ? Actually i am not sure . :)

    It looks cool but when I died for a split second I had lag and could see myself in 3rd person. So it was a bit delayed but still works. Its cool

    OK. The screen is very beautiful and has a very modern look. Which is great ! But I think a blur would help and make the screen more comfortable.

    Did not like it, would love if there was option to change like it is right now even in full release and default being the old death animation. Something somethings are better stayed untouched giving that classic feeling. Why fix something that isn't broken?

    I really like how it goes into third person to make your death location more visible. However the overlay vignette is really dark. This should be changed so that it's initially clear and slowly transitions darker as the camera zooms out.
