- The helmet will likely be crafted with 9 copper ingots and one amethyst shard, the copper in the four corners of the recipe may be replaced with another material. The helmet will provide zero armour protection, as the durability will act as an oxygen meter. When the helmet is worn it will appear on the right hand side of the hot bar, similar to the off hand slot. When the player is submerged underwater the helmet will lose 1 durability point per second, once the helmet reaches 0 durability it will no longer provide oxygen, leaving the player to hold their breath as usual. Once the players head is no longer submerged in water, the durability will repair automatically, by maybe about 4 or 5 durability points, making the act of refilling oxygen faster than losing it. The helmet will never break, and will merely be “empty” until it has the chance to refill oxygen. Since the oxygen is represented by the durability meter, the player taking damage could result in them losing oxygen. Sprint swimming could also decrease the durability at a faster rate as the helmet is not held vertical, allowing for some oxygen to escape the helmet. Design wise, the visor, as it is crafted with amethyst, could create a subtle purple tint on the players screen when worn in first person. The helmet itself will appear copper, with a ‘rounded’ visor, visibly made of amethyst, the helmet will look like irl copper diving helmets, and thus will also partially cover the upper area of the players torso.
