A common gripe between players of Minecraft Bedrock is the lack of custom world sizes in vanilla. For many, like myself, we fondly recall worlds on the Xbox 360 with an 864x864 border. Even the recently removed “Old World” type sported a 246x246 border, providing a fun and unique challenge for players seeking new content.
I propose that these world sizes should be revitalized for Bedrock edition. Each world should have a guaranteed stronghold spawn, along with a guaranteed nether fortress spawn in the nether—which will now become accessible, unlike the old world type which did not allow for nether exploration.
Adding a variety in the world sizes for Bedrock players would allow for tons of new ways to enjoy Minecraft, giving long-time players fun challenges, and new players a smaller sandbox to improve upon their skills.
Further parity updates, like the ability to build on the nether roof and even fully customize a world border would be revolutionary for increasing Bedrock’s gameplay options. Altogether, re-adding the old world types and adding the classic world type would provide tons of replay-ability to the game in a multitude of different ways.
