winter killing crops

Now winter will kill crops that are not protected by a dome or a greenhouse, and now villages could have greenhouses in it.

  Maybe use a campfire instead, to keep the crops warm? New use for camfires

  i think it would add some physics to Minecraft by making winter kill crops. which would be super cool. the plants could slowly wilt if you didn't pick them by time and slowly frost in the winter! but with winter that means that you would have to add all the other seasons too. summer, fall, winter, and spring. which would be so fun. each season would have an effect on each biome and maybe some new blocks to fit with each season! thanks for reading!

  or covered under a solid or glass block? greenhouse is hard to code.

  i guess we should encorage players to harvest their crops by using winter destroys farmland

  I think that campfires should be able to protect crops from cold, but crops will be grown slowly compared to warm biomes and greenhouses.

  First of all, winter doesn’t exist in Minecraft. If by winter, you mean in the real world, it can be a very long period of time people can’t grow crops without having to build a whole greenhouse. It doesn’t really fit the style of the game. I just think that it should just slow down the growth process and possibly kill some crops, not ruin your chances of growing until the season changes.
