mice would be cool, but I don't think for the cherry blossom biome, I think it could make little tunnels in the dirt. and I think that you could make cheese using milk from a cow and maybe you could find some salt from the badlands. and craft cheese! and then you could tame the mouse. and I think that they could dig tunnels through your house and sometimes you would find holes in the wall and hunt the mouse out. and I don't think they should heal you, because I've had some experiences with mice, and they are nothing but annoying.

I feel like they should have a little more to them. Maybe they could be scared of the player and eaten by cats. But also, maybe they should be able to eat droppings in the ground. I’m not sure why this would be useful, maybe it could give the player xp, but either way, it has more life.

Remember there are two soundtracks in minecraft that are named: living mice and mice on Venus so this sounds like a great idea

Silverfish's role in the game is based on real life mice/rats (which is as the pest that can hide in the walls)
Mice/rats would be interesting if they:
    1. were much larger than their real life equivalent
    2. tampered with blocks somehow (like stripping logs)
    3. were neutral like zombified piglins (if you attack one, prepare to be swarmed)
    4. lived in large colonies in a mousehole block (like a beehive)

though they would be awfully similar to bees...
