I agree. If this unnamed update really is about personalization, the world of color update should always be spearheaded as a way to customize pottery. I recommend along with this that someone should be able to right-click dye on one side of the pot to only decorate one of the patterns. This feature may allow more diversity in pots in general. Comparing this to pieces of armor with the armor trims. People may mix up different colors of trims to gain a specific look. I think the same should be done with individual sides of archaeological pots.

it would be so fun! in addition, since archeology pots are 1 pixel narrow, it works pretty well as columns, and would mix very good with all terracota colors, being able to put the four types of double flowers and big ferns in it would be a banger for customization, also, what if a sappling turn into a bonsai when planted in a pot? definitely so much potentian, and finnally, since we have patterns for banners, we should be able to use them in pots too! specially the flower pattern

Dyed plain pots would also be a good way to add depth and details to terracotta builds. At the moment, with no terracotta slabs or stairs available, it's hard to add little details to builds using these blocks. If we had coloured pots we could stack them like columns or other details for these builds.
