Yes! I've been wanting this so badly. Along with just a little bit more weather. Like cloudy weather, where the sky becomes cloudy and mobs will take longer to star getting burned. Seasons should come in 3 sub seasons, basically like months, that will last maybe 5-10 days (But can be configured). The leaves will change with the seasons. Thunderstorms will be more common in late spring and throughout summer. Weather can be localized instead of server-wide. Temperature will play more of a role. Temperature can vary day by day within the parameters of each sub-season, with mid winter being the coldest, and mid summer being the hottest. Perhaps you could drink a water bottle, swim in water, or stay in the shade to cool off when it's too hot. Excessive heat can cause slowness and even gradual health loss over time. You can warm up in the cold by being near a fire (including campfires and furnaces), wearing leather armor, or maybe even crafting coats with wool. Cold can cause hunger and slowness, with gradual health loss as well. And sunrise and sunset could be at different times. Speaking of sunrises, at the end of the day, I would just love to see seasons and a little more variable weather in Minecraft, however they decide to do it. I really hope this gets added sometime.

That's a huge process. I'd prefer static seasonal biomes instead.
