Brushing Animals

I'd like to be able to brush animals. Brushing animals to me seems like a very cute and lively addition. I've always wanted to be able to pet animals in minecraft, as there is not a lot of player-mob interaction, and the animals don't feel very alive as a result. I've particularly wanted to do this a lot more after the implementation fo the sniffer, which looks like it really wants to be pet, scratched and/or hugged. Being able to brush animals not only gives a new use to the brush outside of archeology but also allows the player to sort of 'roleplay' animal care as they can now brush their animal companions. The way this would work is for the 'attack' function of left click to just not be there anymore. Instead, every way you can click is replaced with brushing, which can either be used on archeology, or on an animal. When you brush an animal, for instance, say, a sniffer, the animal would maybe a play a little animation or just emit heart particles to show that it appreciates it, which would be a really cute way to add more player-mob interaction and make the game feel more lively.
