Let's talk about the Cherry Blossom Biome!

There's a brand-new biome coming to Minecraft in update 1.20 - the Cherry Blossom biome. Available to try out now in Java snapshot and coming later to Bedrock preview, this biome is filled with beautiful cherry blossom trees. 

These trees come with a full wood set that is perfect for builders partial to a bit of pink, and you can even plant your own cherry blossom trees using saplings found in the biome. 

As with other 1.20 features, we're still developing and iterating on the cherry blossom biome and would love to hear general thoughts and feedback, as well as how you feel about the new wood set from a visual standpoint.

    Chery blossom biomes need to be bigger!

    I love this new feature, these trees are my favorite to build with but my suggestion is that when you grow a cherry tree they can either spawn flower petals around them or eventually over time as yk the cherry leaves are falling like the particles they have, they'll make the petals on their own. I think it would add a really natural and cute effect to it plus a way to get the flowers if you only traded a sapling but haven't found the biome yet, and for decorating it would make it easier if you're making your own cherry biome instead of having to place all the flowers yourself.
    Other than that other new flower types or a specific mob to the cherry biome would be cool too, even just butterflies or fireflies would be super cute, and hopefully we can get bigger variants of this biome with a different grass shade as it seems quite small at the moment compared to other biomes like a mangrove or savanna which is much larger. Right now it just seems like a small variety in the world instead of a fully fletched out biome but I understand there's still a lot of things to be done and it takes time.
    Also if it was more common to find lush caves under a cherry biome that would be a really fun feature and I'm sure a lot of people would want to search for them more. There's really no indicator of how to find these except the rare tree on the ground level so I would really appreciate a better indicator like that, especially since both biomes are rare anyway.

    Pink soil for cherry tree biomes: My suggestion is to implement pink soil in cherry tree biomes, this would be the only biome where it would appear naturally. But if someone wants to take the pink earth to another place, they could take a cherry blossom tree sprout, wait for it to grow, and when it becomes a tree, pink earth would appear around it. Personally I feel that it would be very nice and would give more possibilities when creating.

    Yeah, cuz I have it on my phone and the newest update u Kno? I didn't get the different types of wolf. Which is what I was looking forward to!!!

    It would be amazing if you added a village for each biome, and use the wood/or other material in that biome to create it.

    I think adding cherries would be cool, they could be made into deserts.

    I also think that adding pink foxes would be unique! They could be rare!

    The addition of birds as ambiant mobs, specifically robins as to fit the theme would be generaly appreciated. As birds as known to be very found of cherries.

    Another ambiant mod out there that I could see the Cherry biome benefit greatly from would be the butterfly.

    Theses two alongside the addition of bunnies spawning there I think would greatly improve the overall atmosphere of the biome by emphiszing it's calmer, beautifull aspects.

    Honestly, ever since I was a kid playing Minecraft, I wanted a simple Cherry Blossom biome, with mobs or flowers or something. I like this new biome (some bias), but I also think that Mojang could have added a village variant to it. (I like playing in my single biome worlds lol, and that's something you can notice.) I also think it would be cool if Mojang added other additions to this biome like a new mob or the blossoms being able to be made into mochi (the last one is a stretch, but it gives you the idea of what I mean). The only big-big-BIG issue I have is the petals are annoying because they spawn so frequently. Overall, though, I really like this part of the update! :)
