Let's talk about the Cherry Blossom Biome!

There's a brand-new biome coming to Minecraft in update 1.20 - the Cherry Blossom biome. Available to try out now in Java snapshot and coming later to Bedrock preview, this biome is filled with beautiful cherry blossom trees. 

These trees come with a full wood set that is perfect for builders partial to a bit of pink, and you can even plant your own cherry blossom trees using saplings found in the biome. 

As with other 1.20 features, we're still developing and iterating on the cherry blossom biome and would love to hear general thoughts and feedback, as well as how you feel about the new wood set from a visual standpoint.

    I like old textures more, especially old planks textures, but I liked the texture of cherry planks. I can also suggest making the sky in this biome a different color, for example pink.

    I've been waiting forever for a Cherry blossom biome. I'm so glad it's finally in the game!

    Should make it so that if you grow a Cherry Blossom tree, pink petals will generate alongside it. You could do this by simply adding some more block data to generate as soon as a cherry blossom grows. Alternatively, if you wanted it to be slightly harder to obtain, you could make it so the pink petals naturally generate over time, similar to Dripstone which grows very slowly. The particles slowly generate pink petals. This introduces a new sense of realism to the game. If people don't want the pink petals to generate, they can simply place a string or some other blocks to prevent the pink petals from generating. (It'd be nice if they only generated on grass blocks, but I'm not sure how hard that would be to implement.)

    I only recommend this new addition purely because in my superflat hardcore world, I cannot access these new beautiful pink petals. So, this would give me access to them. Alternatively, you could make the pink petals available for sale by the Wandering Trader, as it seems like something the wandering trader should have, considering the presence of the Cherry Blossom tree.

    when putting a house in one of the biomes, when you are building a mine, it aways ends up in water.

    In my opinion, this biome is terribly empty and there is no reason to return to it. It is enough to collect 1 seedling and 1 flower.

    A Chinese-Japanese-style village would suit this biome. And of course there has to be a new villager variant with a pink flower in her hair, for example.

    The librarian could be given individual enchants, for example trident enchants.I wouldn't see crossbow enchants there because I associate the cherry village with peace.

    yo devs add a cherry blossom village themed off of japan bc in bedrock i created a mangrove village and am working on a cherry village and i would love to see villages for every biome that dosent have any in 1.21 okay so plz do that in the future mojang btw my names grayson cazzola

    Welp, Prunus cerasus is the Cherry Tree, but it's flower is also very similar to Prunus sect. Cerasus(Cherry Blossom) and Original Cherry Blossom has edible berries too!

    Would be really cool to expand the cherry blossom biome atmosphere further by including moss blocks and carpets to the floor in addition to the already present petals. Additionally, allowing the biome to spawn more often near rivers and oceans would allow for more players to see the beautiful change in water color for this biome as most people (myself included) were not aware of this change at first if at all.

    I love the Cherry Blossom Biome, it is so wonderful with the leaves falling from the trees and don't even get me started with all the wood items from the Cherry Blossom tree. I do have two things that I think could make the Cherry Blossom Biome a bit better, first of all the grass It would be amazing if the grass could be a nice pink or something since the current colour of the grass is an odd grey white. I think it would be amazing if the grass turns pink when a cherry blossom tree sprouts from the sapling like the Mega Spruce  tree that spawns podzol or maybe over time when the cherry blossom leaves fall and turns the grass pink, after all that maybe pink petals could start to spawn.

    Wouldn't it be so cute if just like the regular trees drop apples, that the cherry blossom trees would drop cherries or if there are like small cherries we can put on the tree like in jungle you can with cacoa. It would look so cute

    Idea for a new mob
    What about red pandas there cute and cuddly looking and would look great with the cherry blossoms Maybe add some bamboo too I think it would make the biome more worth living in and your not just going there for the wood
