Let's talk about the Cherry Blossom Biome!

There's a brand-new biome coming to Minecraft in update 1.20 - the Cherry Blossom biome. Available to try out now in Java snapshot and coming later to Bedrock preview, this biome is filled with beautiful cherry blossom trees. 

These trees come with a full wood set that is perfect for builders partial to a bit of pink, and you can even plant your own cherry blossom trees using saplings found in the biome. 

As with other 1.20 features, we're still developing and iterating on the cherry blossom biome and would love to hear general thoughts and feedback, as well as how you feel about the new wood set from a visual standpoint.

    making the leaves on the cherry blossom trees have more gaps would make the trees feel lighter and more realistic than the actual leaves. The shape of the trees and the idea is great, but it could use that change. As well as a mob unique/uncommon in other areas. You want players to have a reason to come to a cherry biome more than to get the saplings and leave, foxes, parrots, bats, bunnies, and plenty of other mobs are just hard to find sometimes. It'd be interesting to see this biome also get some different grass types, maybe some moss or course dirt even.

    Without conditionally, the biome is just fantastic, but I would like it to have its own unique mob, like in a mangrove swamp. I suggest adding either deer or squirrels.

    Hi minecraft team! I love the update so far, and I only have a slight suggestion regarding the cherry blossom biome. To me, it feels a little too similar to the normal forest biome and I think a texture change of the grass would really help it stand out!

    I love the cherry blossoms biome, but when I first heard cherry trees are added to the game, I thought its sapling was a plant to dig up by the sniffer. I think that would be amazing if it would dig up not only decorative flowers' seeds but a sapling's as well

    I think some special structures in it will look good. Something like... Chinese temple?..

    Because in every biome there's some interesting things, things, that you can't find in other biomes. In desert - Desert Temple, in Darkwood forest - Mansion... Ok, not every biome, but in any case, Cherry blossom biome looks cool, but there isn't any interesting places, where I can go for... adventures.

    This is by far the most surprising feature coming in 1.20!!

    The only few things I'd like to see changed is making the leaves a bit less cluttered to make them more see-through, maybe have a different flower grow there as well, like for example a honeysuckle or marigold and maybe have foxes spawn there since in real-life, that's also a space native to foxes but seeing bunnies hop around the lush pink environment with bees buzzing around is also a beautiful sight!!

    Overall a beautiful addition to the game, straight 9/10 from me~

    Super hyped by every feature in this update!!

    do the cherry blossom trees drop cherries by chance when you break the leaves? Bananas for jungle trees and pine cones for taiga and spruce trees would be cool, too! also, i think instead of having different seasonal biomes, the whole world should change from season to season. the current minecrafty feel being spring, a slightly more hot, dry, and stormy version for summer, a colder wet and rainy season with red, orange, and yellow leaves for autumn/fall, and everything snowy and white for winter. These cycles could be something like 5–20 days per season.

    a grass block filled with cherry tree leaves similar to the podzol could be put on some way on the cherry grove, this would make the biome look way pretier than it already does!!

    I think that instead of the usual particles that fall from the foliage, you can make it looks like leaves like in "Falling Leaves" mod. I think it will look much better.

    The new cherry tree biome is very beautiful! Although I think it needs something to make it look more special.

    There could be mini lakes or pools of water within these, there could also be a mob unique to this biome, such as deer or koi fish, this would give a unique touch to the biome and encourage exploration.

    Hello Minecraft, I really adore the new biome, you did a really great job! There are some things I would change. I think it should have different grass color, slightly more light maybe. The trees should also have a chance do drop a cherry when chopped. The cherry could give the same amount of hunger as beetroot. Also foxes could spawn there too :-).
    There are also 2 things I would keep the same at all costs: log and stripped log. They are absolutely perfect!!

    I love the idea so far but its a bit flat and looks like the trees are just pasted there maybe mud puddles or water puddles like mini lakes would help it and for sure add more flowers and make it an all around peaceful place with the more peaceful mobs like butterflies and hedgehogs from Minecraft Dungeons or the mooblooms but make it pink or you can keep it yellow or both also a new fish the koi fish and maybe the tree can drop a new fruit like cherries or something and for the mobs I dont mind if the normal ones spawn there too but I feel like the biome should feel some what magical in a way also I think there should be a new village added since most bomies have them and maybe they could give cherries it would also help it feel more alive I just feel like the more nature you put into it the more it will feel alive.

    Hello! My name is James, this new cherry grove biome seems very nice to me but I think there is nothing that encourages the player to visit it often, because if you collect a sapling and a pink petal flower you will no longer need to return, that's why I would like you to A new structure will be added that calls the player's attention to go visit it, it could be a dungeon or another type of structure

    I loveee that they're finally adding in cherry blossom trees, it does feel a little empty though. I did some research, i would love to see cherries as a new food item. Birds are very attracted to the blossoms in the spring and that's northern cardinals and blue jays. You could also add in bamboo scattered around the biome with ponds with lily pads, Koi fish, and beetles. I would also love to see a pink cow that is just like the Moobloom but it would be Moolip it would have pink flowers could do Orchids or Lotus flowers to make the Cherry Blossom Biome feel more lively. Also add in a Cherry Blossom Village!! It would look so pretty!!

    pienso que estaria bien que las luciernagas fueran añadidas no tan solo en este bioma si no en todo el mundo y que las ranas no se las coman jaja la verdad se verian muy hermosas en el nuevo bioma

    I would very much like Cherry Trees to drop cherry fruit. In the same vain that oak trees have a chance of dropping apples.

    Mice are perfect for the new biome - Cherry Blossom. You can propagate and tame them by seeds. When the player takes more than 5 damage, then the mouse has a small chance to heal the player for a few health points.

    Hola, me gusta mucho el nuevo bioma pero me gustaría más si le quitan esos pixeles verdes a las hojas de cerezo y los reemplazan por unos color rosa un poco más fuerte. Además si las hojas lanzaran unas partículas un poco más grandes como si se trataran de hojas bye.

    I live in Japan and there are many cherry trees near my house. In spring, the ground at the school gate is filled with cherry petals.
    Now, the cherry blossoms in the snapshot are really wonderful, and I think their beauty is no less than the actual cherry blossoms. Well, here are some ideas to make it more attractive.
    > Cherry blossom petals (particles) are often blown by the wind and fall at an angle instead of vertically. Also, air resistance causes them to flutter and fall, swaying from side to side like feathers. How wonderful it would be if particles in games could move like this.
    > How beautiful it would be if the particles naturally piled up pink petals on the blocks below.
    > I guess it depends on the type, but Japanese cherry blossoms are a bit paler and whiter. The texture of the cherry blossom leaves could be a bit lighter in color or contain a bit more white.

    Esta muy bonito el nuevo bioma y me gustaría que algunos arboles tuvieran una fruta roja o verde si pudieran agregar manzanas con una textura similar a el fruto de cacao
    colgando como la fruta de manglar y que le quitaran los pixeles verdes a las hojas siento que agregándole unos pixeles rosa un poco más fuerte quedaría más bonito bye.

    I think the leaves would look SO much better if the green parts were NOT THERE. I'm sorry but it just hurts my eyes
