Let's talk about the Cherry Blossom Biome!

There's a brand-new biome coming to Minecraft in update 1.20 - the Cherry Blossom biome. Available to try out now in Java snapshot and coming later to Bedrock preview, this biome is filled with beautiful cherry blossom trees. 

These trees come with a full wood set that is perfect for builders partial to a bit of pink, and you can even plant your own cherry blossom trees using saplings found in the biome. 

As with other 1.20 features, we're still developing and iterating on the cherry blossom biome and would love to hear general thoughts and feedback, as well as how you feel about the new wood set from a visual standpoint.

    I'm looking forward to the new cherry Blossom Biome.  However, there should also the possibility of a cherry Blossom Biome village, where the base Villagers appear to be wearing either a dark blue or brown haori; or a green haori for the nitwit. All the Villager haori should also have pink or gold trimming. If this type of village is found, there should be the possibility of finding either a "heart" armor trim template or a Sakura armor trim template. The Chestplate' center armor trim should have either a heart or cherry blossom flower in the center. Also, there should also be a way to get pink armor trims as well through some method. 

    We should have a new recipe for Cherry latte which is made from milk and wither Cherry Blossom leaves, Cherry Blossom powder, or Cherry Blossom extract.. Perhaps it gives a very short; 8,10,12 or 15 seconds, immunity to certain effects. Or perhaps the devs would find aa more creative effect for Cherry latte.

    Talvez eu possa mudar a cor da grama para rosa, com mini partículas de cereja. E se a mobloom for adicionada, ela pode fazer 3 variações (rosa, amarelo e azul).

    Small idea: I think that foxes and sweet berries should spawn/grow in the Cherry Grove Biome. I hope you like this suggestion :)

    Je pense que le biome Cherry Blossom est très beau mais il lui manque certaines choses :

     

    - des petits buissons qui pourraient be très beau

    - des cerisiers à fleurs blanches

    et remettre les lucioles pour que ce soit beau la nuit.

    Hello, I have a little opinion on the textures of the cherry blossom's leaves.
    there's something quite peculiar that makes the cherry blossom trees and biome look too dark, like when you make a custom tree out of wool, and it's the pixel density on the texture, compared to other trees the cherry blossom has a pixel density close if not higher than the jungle tree which is known for almost solid leaves, IRL cherry blossoms have just a few leaves and flowers, not any higher than your "average" oak tree which is part of what makes them so beautiful and makes the flowers a little more special.
    I don't think the green pixels are bad but overall there's too much pixel density between banging pink and green and very few holes to give transparency to the leaves.
    If you have seen a cherry blossom in real life during the flowering season they are not that dense, you can see through them pretty easily but with the current texture it's pretty hard to see even through a single block.
    I think a more classic style would fit better as the flowers are also not that big, 1 or 2 pixels is enough for a single flower and a pixel density similar or lower than the acacia tree would do the trick.
    I hope at least something is done about the density because right now they look almost as solid as a tree of pink wool and this tree is suposed to be an alternative to fix what "felt" wrong about wool trees.

    Maybe I can change the color of the grass to a pink, with mini cherry particles. And if the mobloom is added, it could make 3 variations (pink, yellow and blue).

    Currently, the Cherry wood items look so unrealistic. In real life, cherry wood is a very deep red, not a pink.

    Make it so that the texture of the leaves (lepestkov) becomes full of pink or with branches. 
    Logically, if the young branches are green in an ordinary tree, yes. BUT! They are attached to the flowers! And they're AFTER the flowers! And they are mostly NOT visible!

    I personally find the cherry log texture too soft and blurry, maybe adding a little contrast to it so it looks more solid, also not a fan of the horizontal pattern tbh, but maybe its just me transfering my hate from jungle logs

    My dream of a cherry blossom biome has became true after many years and building custom cherry blossom trees in servers. Although one adjustment I would wish for is a sky color and grass color change to the biome, like other biomes have.

    I think lilac flowers would really make the cherry grove come to life. I’ve seen a lot of people comment on the issue of the new biome not seeming lush enough, but I think adding lilacs would really help with that!

    I think one thing this biome would really benefit from is small little ponds that could spawn throughout the cherry grove. I think the aesthetic of a cherry tree hanging over a quaint little pond would look amazing. Maybe there could even be koi fish that spawn in these ponds! I think this could seriously make this biome something special.

    I would love it if we could have cherry fruits in the game, though it would be a bit confusing given that the cherry trees we have so far are Sakura trees which do not produce edible fruit in real life.

    However, I think it would be super cool if when a cherry sapling is pollinated by pollen dropped from a bee, it will grow into a cherry tree that bears fruit! The leaves would have a different texture and drop cherries frequently. This would fit well since bees naturally spawn in this biome, and it would give the bee pollen feature a unique use! The cherries could heal two hunger points (one hunger bar, half the amount an apple does) and could be crafted into cherry pie!

    - I think pink sheep should have a higher chance of spawning there, not by much but I love the pink textures all around through the biome.

    - Could add a Valentine’s Day only thing like Christmas with chests but instead using only pink blocks.

    - similar to the sheep, azalea trees maybe should be more common, not sure if they look good together with cherry blossoms

    Someone here suggested a special kind of village spawning in this biome. I think this is a good idea, and oriental style villages would be perfect!

    this is just a tip to make cherries that would grow or rather grow from the leaves of that tree and it looks great I'm looking forward to more things!!!

    Greetings and Salutations, I'm posting this as I have one simple request to ask, one that I hope is heard from you and the community as well. I suggest that the Cherry Blossom (or Sakura) Biome should have a cold/snowy variant- much like the Spruce Biome. I'm sure we can agree that the Biome itself is pretty comfortable, but imagine how much cozier it would be if there was a snowy variant. In my personal opinion, a Cherry Blossom/Sakura forest is imagined best when its a wintery wonderland- they go together like bread and butter. Another small suggestion would be to allow Foxes to spawn here, ideally in both variants of forest (and by extension berry bushes).

    The grass, i think the grass colour in the biome doesn’t fit in with the trees and environment.

    The biome is beautiful, I always wanted to see it in the game. I just wish the cherry fruit itself was added, (it could have a different design than the sweet fruits and berries) after all, what is a cherry tree without the cherry? It's like an apple tree without an apple. So please add cherry...

    Because the trees only have branches in east-west or north-south, it makes the trees look a little one dimensional. I would love to see some with branches in more directions.

    Also, it would be nice if the pink petals (cherry blossom petals would make more sense) accumulated below the trees like snow.

    Other than that, I love it.

    Hi Minecraft-Team,

    This biom is amazing. I would prefere if there where also white cherrytrees. It would make the biom more "colorful", because actually it looks very "pinkish"

    Perhaps a “Cherry” food item should be added. After all, why add a biome of the same name without the food item. I propose that cherries would be similar to apples in that they would drop from cherry leaves when they fade or are broken. This would add more diversity to the type of food that falls from trees. In fact, as of currently, apples are not only the only food item that does this, but they can be obtained in multiple ways, thus making it unlikely for a player to get a food item from a tree. Cherries could have the same stats as apples. In addition to this, cherries could be a unique food item for players that try to live exclusively from cherry blossoms.

    You should add things like koi ponds, rocks, maybe pink sheep spawn here, fireflies or fairies would be cool, and over all just make this biome the Shangri la of Minecraft.

    The trees and the wood look beautiful, but it would be nice if the grass was a lighter/more pastel shade to match the trees better, similar to how it becomes darker in swamps

    I think the grass could be a little desaturated to match slightly with the leaves

    would make the biome look even more eye pleasing!
