Let's talk about the Cherry Blossom Biome!

There's a brand-new biome coming to Minecraft in update 1.20 - the Cherry Blossom biome. Available to try out now in Java snapshot and coming later to Bedrock preview, this biome is filled with beautiful cherry blossom trees. 

These trees come with a full wood set that is perfect for builders partial to a bit of pink, and you can even plant your own cherry blossom trees using saplings found in the biome. 

As with other 1.20 features, we're still developing and iterating on the cherry blossom biome and would love to hear general thoughts and feedback, as well as how you feel about the new wood set from a visual standpoint.

    The biome, tree's and flowers look absolutely lovely! It's been something I've wanted to see in the game for years so I'm super happy this was added. My only point of feedback would be about the particles that come from the cherry blossom leaves. I love them for ambience but I feel like they fall too fast. I would suggest slowing their speed down and having them wave/sway around a bit to emulate wind movements - rather than the straight downward trajectory the particles currently have.

    The moolips (moobloom pink) this cow would have the same utilities as the moobloom of minecon 2020

    Well in my opinion I really liked the cherry blossom biome but when testing both in bedrock and in Java I didn't see a very big biome I didn't have the cherry blossom trees another thing I wanted a pink cow like mooblom Regarding the texture of the leaf, the number of leaves is very heavy in this regard, congratulations mojang.

    I would love to see bushes to populate the ground a little bit more, as that's what feels particularly empty right now. This could also massively improve other biomes.
    In my mind it would be just three to eight blocks or so, at a maximum of 2 blocks high and an area of a maximum of 3x2 the bigger ones could also have a log in between the leaves.

    Letting pink and white flowers generate there is also a great idea.

    The general gist is that the ground feels a bit empty in some biomes, including the cherry blossom forest.

    Love that this biome is coming to minecraft. I would like to see som sort of new flower, animals, vines, lightsource or stone that is assosiated with cherry trees and the biome you are creating. Makes it even more lovely to explore.

    Foxes should spawn here, maybe a unique color. The leaves themselves are too thick as well, yhey need to be more transparent like other leaves

    The new Biome is awesome!
    But please add Cherrys that drop from the leaves.
    And it should have a unique mob like:
    a Red Panda
    a squirrel
    or a hedgehog

    this would make the biome so nice and unique.

    Olá! Eu amei a floresta de cerejeiras! tão fofo e rosa! bem, se temos uma cerejeira porque não cerejas! diferente das maçãs que são colhidas quando as folhas das árvores são cortadas, a nova cereja é colhida pressionando levemente as folhas! Assim não será necessário cortar as flores dessa linda árvore! Obrigado por este trabalho incrível que vocês estão fazendo ^^ 🍒🌸

    This biome is really great but my main idea for this new biome is cherries! You should be able to mine cherries from the tree leaves. They would be a fruit similar to apples, and you could even craft golden cherries if you want, but I'm not so sure what they would do. If anyone has any suggestions, leave a comment!

    I want to suggest that the grass for this biome should resonate with the biome. The plain green grass doesn’t make the biome pop and is rather generic. Otherwise the Cherry blossom biome is very fitting and nicely designed.

    Moobloms should spawn in the biome and the vegetation should be denser to make it stand out more, bamboo would be good

    Cherry blossom biome is fantastic, I will just talk about small details.

    1- Pink petals on the floor are great but it can only be placed on grass, dirt and dirt types. Please make it placeable on solid blocks/flat surfaces for decoration purposes. (other features such as adding flowers mechanic, bonemealing, being rotational all great) 

    2- I found the leaves too thick and blocky, they could be a little bit more transparent. I think the problem is that flowers on leaf texture are so big

    3- Please make cherry blossom particles more like spore blossom. Also right know when particles fall to ground they look like honey particles (horizontal lines on the floor) you can change particle type to look like spore blossom but make it spread to a smaller area

    I think that this biome looks great but the one thing i would change is i would put bushes like in the jungle biome on the floor to help this biome feel more filled

    HI Mojang,I think that for the cherry blossom biome you should add cherries,as apples for normal trees would be amazing if we could to find some cherries digging among cherry blossom's leaves.I hooe that my feedback could to help the team,we all want cherries in Minecraft and there isn't better occasion to add it.

    I think the grass color should be something unique or more blue like the meadow biome around it. The current color feels bland.

    Let me first say that I am incredibly happy about the addition of cherry blossoms, as they've been something I've wanted in the game for years. I think the log and plank color for the trees are perfect, but I have to say I don't think the leaves look quite right. Personally, I think that having both the pink and green included in the texture muddies the look, and I think that the texture would be improved by focusing on just the pink/white aspect of the flowers. Also, from what I've seen so far the biome generation in the snapshot is typically very small and only in mountains. I think for the sake of building bases larger, flatter cherry blossom forests would be a welcome addition.

    Add some mob like for example grizzly bear or deer in this biome , it lacks life , it feels a very common biome as a re textured needs something unique to motivate exploration.

    Falling leaves particle should fly around for a few seconds instead of falling straight to the ground. Maybe adding this particle to other trees too.

    Hello ! I think the color of the grass in the cherry blossom biome is a little weird... maybe a more yellow or a pink/purple color would be better.
    Also, can you add cherry too ? It would be like apple but also like apple, it would have some golden cherrys which are usefull for potion recipe. Maybe Haste, darkness or a new effect for it.

    Add Koi and make them spawn in ponds of this biome exclusively. Like what we can currently do with tropical fish, but with kois.

    All of the pink flowers (or at LEAST lilacs - they look absolutely fantastic scattered around the biome - i tested it) should generate inside the cherry grove!

    Things like the peony, the lilac, pink tulips, and aliums would fit so perfectly in the biome.

    there have been one or two dedicated posts about it already, but a change in the grass color feels particularly needed. a redish-orange tint could help make the biome really stand out from the forests that commonly surround it. as it currently stands the new biome feels more like a collection of flowers and trees then a biome with a completely new look and vibe, but with a little bit of extra fine tuning could really turn into one of the best!

    Hello Mojang Team! I'm very exited to see the final version of the biome. I propose a new pinky village skin like the swamp and jungle type.
    Of course, a entire pink village would be a good surprise hahaha.

    One thing that I like about the biome is the pink petals/leaves on the ground. Something I would love to see come to Minecraft (not just this biome) is leaf litter. Basically leaf carpets like how moss now has carpets. Just something to break up the monotony of green grass and add some texture to biomes. Just another detail block to create depth in a build.

    I already love this biome! However, I do not think it is perfect, yet. I would like to request the following things:

    • Texturing the leaves a bit more vibrant and thus a bit less pastel colored.
    • Texturing the leaves a bit more transparent, it is hard to describe but they feel a bit off right now and I think that might resolve it.
    • Making the particle effect of the leaves more swinging instead of dripping would make them feel more like leaves. (Also please add those particles to the other leave types as well!!)

    This is great! My only suggestion is that because the cherry blossom leaves make the ground seem a bit flat, please add some taller vegetation to make it a bit more 3-dimensional (making plants such as rose bushes and lilacs more common here would work).

    It would be really cool if the new flowers (and potentially other flowers!) could be crafted into flower crowns!
