    I think the sniffer should be able to find seeds, or help spread spores by a little sneeze, to have a renewable source for existing fauna, such as spore blossoms or flowers. It bit redundant to have to keep going back and forth to a specific biome just to get more of your favorite flower, and fauna like the spore blossoms are not renewable. Also we have yet to find a way to get black dye that doesn’t involve violence, so maybe a new black plant would be nice.

    As a Dinosaur fan, heres what I have to say about this newly added Creature.

    First of: While experiencing with the Sniffer its head randomly disappeared. You can also drag the Sniffer through the world while it is sleeping but that was it for the bug part.

    The Sniffing Animation for the Sniffer looks so bad since since the other part of the sniffers head does nothing. I would give it a Sniffing Animation like that of the Warden.

    The Sniffer should also have atleast 60 HP. I was pretty sad when it only survived two hits from a Netherite Sword.

    It would also be pretty cool if Baby Sniffers dug themselves underground when they get hit by a player.

    It would also make more sence if the Sniffers eat most of the items it finds and only the items it doesnt like are left over.

    Sniffer Eggs or Suspicous Sand could also be found next to fossils.

    Sniffer Eggs should be called Ancient Eggs since their is currently no other mob like the Sniffer. A new player would have no Idea what a Sniffer Egg is and they would probably think they could find it somewhere else again.

    Make the Reason the Sniffer went extinct visible ingame. There could be a painting or one or more Mobs that want to hunt the Sniffer. For example the phantom or the drowned.

    I even made a Java Edition Command for those who want to test out a more bulky Sniffer:

    /summon sniffer ~ ~ ~ {Health:80f,Attributes:[{Name:generic.max_health,Base:80},{Name:generic.knockback_resistance,Base:0.5}]}

    A few small suggestions:
    - torch flowers should totally emit light! This would really make them unique and add incentive to obtaining them.
    - sniffers should have more health and knock back resistance
    - if more sniffer plants do get added, I think the kind of flower it digs up should be dependent on certain circumstances. Like maybe the type of block it sniffs, a food it eats, a flower it smells, the biome it’s in, the weather, etc.
    - another cool little detail could be that the sniffer’s green fur coat could collect snow if the sniffer gets snowed on and collect cherry blossom petals when underneath cherry leaves. Or maybe you could use a flower in it and it would become covered in that type of flower, kind of like a living garden. Any way to customize the sniffer would be awesome!

    I still think the sniffer has too many pixels
    Compared to how other big mobs were made like the wither or the ghast the pixels should be upscaled and not add more.
    Imagine how weird would a wither or a ghast look with "pixel accuaracy"
    I just think the sniffer and other new big mobs don't fit with pigs or endermen, that's all

    Suggestions for the sniffer mob that many others may have already come up with:

    - Sniffer can sniff out specific biomes for a HIGHER CHANCE of finding specific ancient seeds. (Cherry Blossom biome could be used as an example.)

    - Sniffer idle laying animation like Camels.

    - Bees, parrots, frogs, or other small mobs can occasionally ride the sniffer similar to how parrots ride a player's shoulder.

    - Similar HP range, if not higher when compared to Hoglins.

    - Torchflower should emit light as the name implies.

    - Credit to whoever said this: Sniffers should sneeze when sniffing nearby unknown flora since it may be new to them.

    - Sniffers have things growing on them possibly? (Flowers, mushrooms, etc.)

    My suggestions :D

    1) Make the Torchflower glows in the darkness, it would be awesome to have a glowing plant in our crops!

    2) Add more ancient seeds for Sniffer, and if there was more, it would be nice to have seeds that are exclusive of some biomes, like, if you want a specific seed, you have to have your sniffer there to sniff and find! this would greatly extend the lifespan of sniffers in the interests of players.

    To continue with my idea:crumbling types of solid blocks,like crumbling cobblestone,crumbling Netherrack,crumbling endstone,and many,many more types of crumbling versions of solid blocks.Maybe depending on where the sniffer egg hatches,the sniffer would have the different leaf colors on its back.Maybe for the nether,the sniffer could sniff out seeds for the plants in dungeons,and same for the end,where the sniffer would sniff the crumbling endstone,and the sniffer would sniff the seeds of the wild plants,and maybe the wild sapling from dungeons,and maybe when you sniff in the chorus forests,the sniffer would sniff out seeds for chorus plants,and maybe even a new tree like the wild tree,and while the wild trees would have wild wood,the wild wood would be purple,but the log on the outside would be yellow,and the inside part of the log purple.Maybe in the soul valley,there could be ancient soul berries,which would look like souls,and other plants,a tree that when touched,would give you poison.The ancient soul wood would by brown of the outside,and the color of souls on the inside.The wood type would be the color of souls,so very light blue.The crimson and warped forest ancient seeds could also grow trees,weeping trees for the crimson,and twisted trees for the warped forest.The weeping wood type would be very red.The twisted wood  would be blueish-purplish wood.The nether and end seeds is  their seeds would have a particle,where it grows other plants by themselves.

    Please let the Torchflower emit light as it's name suggests. This would be so much better than the torch spam you often see in large open spaces. I'd also love to see us be able to craft more useful things than orange dye with it.

    I also really hope there are multiple ancient plants and not just the one.

    There should be different sizes for sniffers, maybe bell curve distribution, and the bigger  they are the more seeds they get.

    I think the sniffer should unearth a variety of ancient plants, I also think GoodTimesWithScar's feedback on minecraft flowers should be taken with these ancient seeds. Scar suggests that flowers open up more and cover the tops of whole blocks (like some coral designs! The pink cherry flowers that can be put on the floor are quite similar). I would like to see the Sniffer more tanky, it's easily defeated and has little HP. I think that it's gigantism should lend itself to more health points and knockback resistance. I think that if you could grow, or at least display flowers and berries on the Sniffer's green hide it would look very nice.

    I think it would be funny if nighttime monsters were afraid of the sniffer, it also incentivizes keeping Sniffers walking around your lawn.

    I have 2 ideas for the sniffer:

    -the torchflower could emet light.

    -we could ride the sniffer and control it with a torchflower seed in a stick.

    I would really love if the sniffer had the ability to find even regular seeds and flowers, making it more useful for the players.

    I propose a bran new Feature for the Sniffer. Said feature will be heavily linked to the Snowfall Weather, in Cold Biome:

    • The mechanism :

    Whenever the Sniffer is in a Cold Biome that allows Snowfall to appear when the weather is rainy, it will change their skin after some time for this one! (For reference, check the link picture.)

    When the Sniffer in this "covered in snow" state is within a warmer biome (or under rain), the snow melts, and the skin revert to the original one.

    The player can manually do that, by right-clicking the Sniffer with a shovel, which drops a few snowballs depending on the size of the mob. (example: 1-3 snowballs for the adults, and 1 for the children.)

    • The reasons:

    This would give the Sniffer more of a place within a world that isn't native to them. Not only are they the largest passive mob in Minecraft, but they are rather slow in movement, meaning they would have snow collect on themselves (similar to real life bisons). It would truly make the world interact with them more.

    Also, if the player decided to revive the species in a cold biome, they would fit right in the field of snow, instead of constantly piercing through it with their vibrant green. After all, it is up to the player to decide whether they want to bring it into the world or not. Imagine a herd of Sniffers through the Tundra, ancient species brought back from extinction, now thriving even in the harsh environment.

    the sniffer has good function but it looks like it has high res. the pixels do have normal scale but it looks a bit weird and makes it less cute. scaling the pixels up would look way better imo.

    Torch flowers should give off light at night! It would be super nice for lighting up builds and they could even give of particles when lit for more atmosphere

    Hey!! I love the sniffer so far! But maybe you could add more usefulness to the torchflowers! I find it a little aimless to go looking for a Sniffer especially if it doesnt exactly do anything all that useful! Its cute, but it would be awesome if it could do a little more!

    Maybe add a hungry plants which will be dangerous? They must be found by sniffer, then, you can put them into dirt and wait!

    Quando attacchi lo sniffer a tanto knockback il che è un errore perché lui è grande e pesante quindi quando lo attacchi non avrà più knockback per favore Mojang guarda questo feedback

    As many have said, I feel this mob could do with some more HP. Given the size of this mob, 14 health seems incredibly low. Unless there is some intentional reason behind this, such as "they went extinct because they were weak" or "it makes you want to look after them better", they should have a lot more health, probably in the 50-100 ballpark.

    Also as many others have said, it would be great if the Torchflower emitted some light, or could be brewed into a Potion of Glowing or something.

    I feel like the Sniffer shouldn't be breedable. This would add more of a use to archeology, if a player wanted more sniffers. If it needs an explanation, it could just be that the plant they breed with is extinct. Other than that, I think the torch flower should have some mechanics, like emitting light.

    Warped fungus is supposed to be really stinky, so Sniffers should naturally be repulsed by it, just as Hoglins are!

    There should be more versitale plants in which the sniffer uncovers, such an ancient plant that deteers hostile mobs away or some thorny plant that inflicts poison. Maybe different plants wil be uncovered depending on the biome.

    The Sniffer is a fantastic mob! It has so much more potential to improve for some minor changes until the release of update 1.20.

    • For one, I would find most suitable for Sniffers to lay eggs, rather than simply spawning a baby Snifflet after breeding. If the player is required to revive the Sniffer species by finding ancient eggs, then it would be most reasonable for the Sniffer to be an egg-laying mob, like the Turtle. So, in short, baby Snifflets should hatch from eggs laid after breeding.
    • Secondly, the Sniffer should have higher HP. An HP of 60 (30 hearts) seems like a reasonable amount.
    • And lastly, Sniffers and Parrots should have some sort of symbiotic relationship, as Bees would've had with the Moobloom. Perhaps, even, the Sniffer could allow Parrots to perch on their backs.

    I really love the Idea of the Sniffer but it feels pointless to only hsve a plant that has the color of the most basic colors combined.
    I would love to see a very small chance where the Sniffer would dig up the ancient roses that look like the ones before you replaced them with Poppys

    The sniffer is far too cute to be merely decorative.

    -I think he should be able to find more plants that are useful (e.g. a plant for making potions and another that can be eaten and with which you can make fields.

    -I also think that it is so big that it should be possible to mount it.
