    3 suggestions:

    1. One of the sniffer's ancient plants should be some sort of carnivorous plant (a giant hostile one that attacks mobs and possibly players would be really cool)

    2. We should be able to plant a certain amount of plants on the sniffers back (other people have also said this). For example, planting carnivorous plants or cacti on a sniffer would give it its own form of defence, and also cosmetic plants like flowers, bamboo or vines as well.

    3. As the sniffer is so huge, it should be able to walk/wade in water that is less than 1 or 2 blocks deep, instead of floating at the surface. This would also give it the impression of a small moving island in the water which would be really cool for lakes and ponds.

    Also one more thing, the sniffer should be a little bit wider in my opinion.

    I think is a great mob but i think sniffer should give us more seeds.

    And i think the torchflower must have ilumination as a normal torch

    I would like minecraft to implement a prehistoric or ancient tree in the 1.20 update, and that they place a ancient tree obtained by the Sniffer. That tree needs 9 saplings to be planted and be a giant Tree with a rock-like texture

    Respondendo às perguntas, sim, o mob Sniffer é perfeito. Eu gostaria que o mob fosse um pouco mais alto que o jogador, se possível, talvez quase um bloco mais alto. E principalmente aumentar a largura, pois as vezes dá a impressão que sua largura é desproporcional a sua altura...

    Hello. the sniffer itself is not bad, but the plants are functionally the same, I would like these plants to have some kind of idea, for example, an ingredient for some kind of potion, or for the same torch flower to glow, for example. so that there is a sense of what you breed sniffers for seeds.

    Add magic/ancient plants, like a slimmy plant, a poison plant, a water plant, etc.... To look like a prehistohical and magical game at the same time

    The Sniffer is awesome! But there is room for improvements, I suggest the following:

    1. Make it not pixel-consisent, and use Scaled Pixels like it is done with Ghast, Whiters, etc.
    2. Sound effects don't fit the Sniffer, the Sniffer is a cute mob, but the sounds are not that cute.
    3. More player interaction with the sniffer, at the end of the day we voted for him so we should have a way to, show love(maybe by petting), interact with the sniffer!
    4. It should interact with Farm Villagers, it gives the villager seeds and the villager will plant it on the nearest Farm land.

    As others have said, it would be nice if an ancient plant was added that was edible. However my suggestion is that if this were the case, give it some special effect to make it worth it. Maybe a potion effect or something? And perhaps the ancient plants could be used in brewing of some form? Although not sure what it would do as most potions have recipes already. For the torchflower however as someone said it would be cool to be able to make blindness potions with them.

    The Sniffer is great as it is, I love its behaviour and appearance, but I feel like it would really add to the mob if it could dig up multiple different seeds, making the torchflower feel so much more special. Also, if the torch flower does not illuminate light, perhaps make it so that when eaten, you are given the glowing effect for 3 seconds. These are just my ideas, fantastic work Mojang

    The player shouldn't be able to push the sniffer, since it is very big and has 6 legs to support is weight, also this add to the feel of it being a very big animal.

    It would be cool if the Sniffer sniffed out Torchflowers in warm biomes, and a cold-themed flower in cold biomes! Maybe there could even be a super rare sapling that grows into a full prehistoric tree.

    Also, Torchflowers should totally give off some sort of ambient light!

    I love the Sniffer! She's very sweet, I think the big consensus is that Torchflowers should emit light of some kind, and that there should be an open mind kept to potentially adding more plants/seeds in the future.

    As for the Sniffer themselves, I would love to see a taming/secondary mechanic! I understand her main area of expertise is sniffing up seeds, but they feels a little lifeless otherwise, perhaps being able to tame your Sniffer like other pets or some other routine/procedure alongside their main one would be nice! Such a neat mob definitely deserves more then just one simple behavior!

    You should be able to make them sniff the plant by showing it to them, and they will go search for more of them for maybe about 35 seconds, and then they would dig a random, bigger amount of the seeds (like 2-5), instead of just 1.

    How about making the Sniffer find different types of new flowers based on the biome? It would be a really cool way to add new flowers to the game. 

     PS: if it happens please consider a Lotus flower to be an option.

    There is at least one bug I found on java. You could hear the sniffer dig from 1000+ blocks away. also if you add more plants to eat or use to make something that would be amazing. Also if the torch flower had a small little glow that would look amazing. Thanks Mojang for work working on everything it looks amazing.

    I think it would be cool if, in addition to light, the torchflower reacted to the proximity of the player. Like if it senses a disturbance, it stops emitting light. The idea being that it doesn't want to be eaten by animals (it is a flower, not a fruit after all), and is only interested in drawing in insects.

    This would also be interesting vice-versa. Such as, that the plant is on fire, in proximity to the player, as a means of defense. The fire doesn't spread but it will indeed harm.

    Maybe add the rose and/or the blue rose as plants that the Sniffer can dig up? i really miss those flowers (and a greater part of the community probably miss them too), and the Sniffer seems like a great opportunity to bring them back to the game!

    Like a lot of these comments I think the sniffer is great right now but needs more. 1. When near a spore blossom or a LOT of flowers it can sneeze. 2. Biome specific seeds so we get many more plants and it adds to the world building. 3. It would be very cute if Parrots or even cats and dogs can hop on the sniffer's back while it lays down and it give them little piggy back rides. 4. I should be able to just lay down and sleep and even snore a little.

    I think it should be able to find a big variety of different exotic plants for awesome decorations. I also would suggest that painted flower pots should be added. Otherwise an awesome Mob

    The Sniffer is an AMAZING mob! However, it does not feel like it is worth yet to look for this rare mob just to get ONE type of plant 😕

    To add, right now the Torchflower feels underwhelming. It doesn't live up to its name - it doesn't glow whatsoever - and it currently has 0 use. One suggestion from me is to give the Torchflower an ability to prevent fire from spreading to the blocks the flower is around. Yes, that might be quite crazy, but it is not so much when you take into account how rare its seeds are, this way we can keep its renewabillity the way it is now (it doesn't give seeds back when harvested) 🔥

    Another idea for "another plant(s)" is perhaps a vine that gives a fruit that when consumed, gives the player an ability to stare into endermen's eyes without angering it. Powerful, yes. Hence, make it only give a short duration effect (e.g. 2 minutes) 💜

    For the seeds the Sniffer digs up I think it would be a cool idea if the seeds are just called "Ancient Seeds" and you plant them like normal but would get a random plant out of it. And there should also be more plants added with the Sniffer.

    Sniffer looks great and is a fantastic addition to the Minecraft mob roster! Even more exciting though is the potential for the many unique ancient plants that can be found using the sniffer. I am of firm belief that functionality outside of visual appeal is always good for any new Minecraft addition, as it allows new items or features to connect with more players who have differing interests. Here are some of my ideas for the new ancient plants: 

    Torchflower: 

    • The torchflower should emit some level of light passively (Light level 7 or 14). I think it would be a fun and unique quality to this strange plant! I could also see it emitting a certain light level upon the player walking through the hitbox of the torchflower. 

    Mob Lure: 

    • This ancient plant/flower could be reminiscent of carnivorous plants or plants that smell of rotting flesh like the rafflesia! This could then be used as a lure for certain hostile mobs that would be drawn to such alluring smells, like zombies or spiders.  

    Color Shifting Flower: 

    • This flower could change appearance/shift in color like how certain flowers (Hydrangeas) change color depending on the PH level of the soil they are planted in. 
    • The seeds when planted in certain blocks (dirt, mud, etc) would change the outcome of how the flower looks after it is grown. 
    • Transplanted flowers could shift color in a similar way to oxidizing copper blocks, once they are moved to a certain block. 
    • It could also drop different dyes depending on its current color.

    I always love when mobs have unique interactions with blocks or items in game. Given that these new ancient plants could have varieties of flowers outside of just the torchflower, I think it would cool if a modern mob like the bee had unique interactions / functionality with ancient flowers! Bees could, if only allowed to pollinate ancient plants/flowers, produce unique variations of honey (kind of like how they do in real life!). Given that ancient plants/flowers could have unique compounds not found in the modern times, unique variations of honey with certain effects could be made. For example, bees that pollinate exclusively the torchflower, could create more orange variation of honey that when consumed could give a short burst potion effect like night vision. I think this would give even more functionality to the ancient plants and also give a unique mob interaction outside of the sniffer itself.

    Having played around with the Sniffer for a bit, I must say that it is an amazing mob. The aesthetics, design, and animations are all wonderful. With that being said, there are a couple of changes I would recommend. I have seen a lot of people say that the torchflower should emit light and I think that if it does emit light it should be at a low level. This would make it unique and would allow it to provide a distinct ambiance. I agree with others that another plant or two would be nice. I also think that it would also be interesting for the Sniffer to have unique interactions with some other mobs. Specifically, I think it would be interesting to see a unique interaction between the Sniffer and the Creeper. The theory that Creepers are plants could allow for these two creatures to have an interesting connection.

    It should still be able to be found in ocean ruins. It can be also in archeology too but please let it be found in ocean ruins as in its mob vote video please

    I'll give some my ideas.
    -I think that the torchflower should shine at night
    -You should add in the game new plants related to sniffer (as plants that we have seen in a leak from a famous leaker)

    SNIFFER:
    • On Breeding SNIFFERS they should lay an EGG, instead of directly giving us a Snifflet.
    Same as TURTLES do, they lay their eggs and leave them to hatch.

    • Interacting a SNIFFER EGG will PICK-UP the Egg.

    • SNIFFERS should not get KNOCK-BACK on HIT.

    TORCHFLOWER:
    • The Torchflowers should EMIT LIGHT like Glow Lichens, which will make them more USEFUL, DECORATIVE & MYSTERIOUS.

    • The TORCHFLOWER becomes Dull when placed in a Flower Pot, FIX THIS BUG.

    • Even when placed in a Flower Pot a Torchflower should EMIT LIGHT.

    more seeds, one seed doesn't justified the mob, and the flowers at least need to have some utilities, for example the torchflower should be do light

    I like the sniffer and its design but, it could look cuter (in my opinion), if it had the nose/beak smaller. The torch flower is very cool but it makes sense that it could glow because its name is "torch" flower and it could give more ambient.
