The Archeology system is great so far. In my opinion it would be even better if:

    1. We got maybe 2-4 additional pottery shards, for example a with a Shell pattern that would resemble the Nautilus Shell or a Sword pattern

    2. Suspicious Gravel would've been added

    3. More structures would have Suspicious Sand/Gravel spawning inside. For example Jungle Temples would get a new room covered in Gravel similarly to Desert Pyramids and ocean ruins would also have the Suspicious blocks spawning inside

Archeology is cool! I do have an issue with the fact that they’re restricted to deserts, and structures at that. I feel like they almost become an accidental trophy item due to the rarity of shards, instead of a system encouraging self-identity. Also, this is kind of a given, but I feel like we need more pottery shards; 4 just isn’t enough.

i just think the pots seem a little too blocky. i thought maybe you could add like, a lower layer that reduces the size towards the bottom or a flare at the top. now it just looks like a rectangle compared to what it looked like during Minecraft live. just an idea

I kinda wish there was a new non decorative item you could get from archeology like a new tool. That could be similar to tridents because it would be rare and maybe have a unique ability. I think a lot of people have been wanting a item like this for a while and I think it would make this update a lot better.

Hello dear developers. I believe the sniffer egg should be found in the new secret room in the desert temple. This egg should be like an ender dragon egg, just a different texture. I also think that we should continue to develop the idea of archeology in the desert biome, thereby improving a rather boring biome. Archeology is more compatible with the desert, as if there was water, then everything dried up and died out, as a result, we find the remains of an extinct civilization in the desert.

Pottery shards idea there should be a shard resembling tnt and one with a heart could use it as a way to show kindness or a trap

I think archeological finds and tombs could be introduced into minecraft, at mojang the team has shown that they like to base things off of real places, an example would be for caves and cliffs the team went to visit countries with large caves to base their designs on to make the update feel right. Ancient tombs could be introduced in a real life inspired way, players would have to decypher the scriptures found in desert temples or in random suspicious sand with a low rarity in suspicious sand and a somewhat high chance in desert temples but only being limited to 1 or 2 per temple. These scriptures would in a way be like the treasure map but instead of a map to the place there would be shape(s). These shape(s) can be found in the same desert biome but the shapes are made out of either; suspicious sand, cut sandstone, sandstone or chiseled sandstone. The way i imagine this could be implemented would be, for more valuable tombs it would be buried under some suspicious sand with a room(the tomb) some depth underneath more recent or less valuable ones would have part of the tomb either out of the sand or exposed(the top of the cut/chiseled/normal sandstone exposed). The scriptures could also be more complex based on the value of the tomb for example, having the shape of a desert temple, a well and a village with an X/tomb symbol of some sort(could be a creeper face) in a place thats in relation to those structures so the player could find it.

Adding sandstorms would bring life to the desert, and would allow for new behavior for suspicious sand.

My idea is that for suspicious sand to spawn during sandstorms whenever there's items on the ground! And if you brush this suspicious sand you'd get the item that it was. This behavior would mimic real life a bit and allow for a cool new mechanic and new weather behavior.

Since the shards are decorational items, players will want to use a lot of them. Either suspicious sand needs to be renewable or the shards should function like banner patterns and not get used up

The pots should be able to be dyed and glazed (by cooking them in a furnace) to look like glazed terracotta patterns giving us more colors and permutations to play with. The fun and excitement I had for archeology was because I thought the possibilities of colors, shard types, and patterns (glazed) would be so high they'd rival banners with how infinite the possibilities are but currently with only the shades of brown, it's quite shallow and same-y like how chest lack variety and everyone's chest and storage rooms in Minecraft look the same, either chest or barrels, no other colors of chest.

Maybe with the armor trims, we could make it so that you can design it pixel by pixel like in Minecraft Skindex, although maybe make it easier to use the colours. :)

Dyeable pots.  Make the pots 2 pixels shorter.  Also, more designs and pots should hold items

ADD A FUNCTION TO STACK BLOCKS IN POTS :)

My idea is to make possible to use the pot as a storage, kinda like a ""Nerfed Shulker Box""

    How would work?
-Simple! You can only stack 1 item type inside, but u can fill the pot way over then 64 blocks
-You cant add blocks if the pot have water and vice-versa

    Example:
I have a lot of cobblestone, i will put it on a pot to free space on chest (make the pot stack 8 stacks of 1 item)

EXTRA: Let us put milk, lava, honey and lava in pot

    (Srry for the caps lock)

I like that the brush recipe is no longer a string pickaxe but I think it should take more than one feather. Right now it's like an arrow, and arrows aren't fluffy for brushing!

Hu guys/gals and Mojang studios I think you should add more shards becuase when I look at the current I can't really tell a story, maybe you should add a pickaxe shard or a sword shard?,you can come up with the rest, thank you for reading,

When I was young I thot anything I thot of would be real! That has changed. Like when I thot archeology was going to happen! But then bad news came that archeology wouldn't be added. But then later it did so LETS FLIPPING GO! When you think updates will be trash do not believe that because the updates they reveal always start out disappointing but then it turns into the best update

It would be awesome to make suspicious sand by pushing an item with a piston into the regular sand. It would give possibility for map makers to create their own suspicious sand and in singleplayer we could create our own excavation sites.

What about adding a metal detector that can detect suspicious sand, I know you can see suspicious sand, but I think it would look cool and be fun for people who do Roleplays in Minecraft.

I'd like to be able to dye the pots, and smelt them in a furnace like with terracotta.

I love the archeology part of this update, however it lacks a bit of depth for me. I would like to have more exclusive items to get from it. For example rubies (to make rubieblocks), bones of dinosaurs or extinct animals (that you can place). Maybe also that you can color the big vases and have big flowers in them.

    I would love it!

You should be able to craft a chisel item to use archy on stone blocks. This will allow for archy to be more present and available in underground caves, the nether and the end meaning that it will always be present and not a feature that becomes useless after finding it the first time!

After adding archeology, we have clay jugs. But they don't have some functions. What can be added to make them better: opportunity to put flowers there and not in a pot it looks disgusting; pour liquids into them - water, milk, honey, potions; stack up to 32 or 64 items in a jar. Since we have the ability to break jugs, it would be possible for these objects to fall out after breaking, and the liquid would spill and disappear. Also in 1.20 we will get armor trim's, so why not add the same for pitchers.  In addition to fragments for jugs, one could find components for creating different patterns.
