    I played with a data pack that had this feature and it was awesome, to balance it should cost XP to transfer but otherwise, it was a great way to save good enchants given how grindy using the randomness of the enchanting table can be.

    The best alternative I've seen is to use Chiseled Bookshelves around the enchanting table as a means to change the random enchanting odds. Using it to increase the odds for enchants loaded on the shelves, and even add treasure enchants into the odds.

    Enchanting lacks progression in the ability to perform magic more efficiently for sure, and this is certainly one way to help resolve that.
