Beavers with beaver dams

Beavers can chew on trees making a chewed tree block, with this it can have its own animation and sound when chewing.

Would they be added as a part of a beaver dam + lodge structure mob spawns? Or would it they be added in a biome's mob spawns?

I would prefer the beaver would be added in a structure in the river biome, and use this an focus to overhaul the river biome to come from higher elevation to end in the ocean--with tributaries and deltas.
