As of me writing this the fletching table remains useless and simply gives the fletching role to villagers but it could be used for something greater. The table’s design suggests bows and arrows are the focus of the utility block so here’s a proposal: customizable arrows. Not like the potion arrows, I’m talking changing the quality of arrows themselves. Changing their damage, range, speed, drop off point etc. This can be done by swapping out the materials used to craft them, such as using an iron nugget instead of flint, or a blaze rod instead of a stick.
If there were to be other mobs, such as various birds that drop unique feathers, those could be used to customize the arrows as well. For balancing I’d imagine they’d want to keep the potion and upgraded arrows separate, but combining the new arrows with existing bow enchantments could take bows to a new level.
(also add spectral arrows to Bedrock)
