  glowing would add a lot of i think what mojang wanted to do with armor trims in the first place, make them distinguishable from far distances. plus more variation with armor trims is never a bad thing!

  The trimmed part of the armor would be visible in darkness. This would allow more creativity and let you keep track of friends when mining.

  I love this idea! DO THIS MOJANG!!! I think it would be fairly easy to accomplish, just make the trim texture glow like the glow signs, not the rest of the armor though it would be more cool if only the trim glowed.

  Since the post I made is duplicate i'll explain the idea a tiny bit more :

   

  As the user MANUEL_XXVI did on twitter, glowing armor trims would be an extremely good idea in my opinion, it would allow for even more possibilities for customizing your armor, it would give another use for the glow ink sac, and during the night you'll be able to spot people, even with the lowest brightness setting !

  Notice : the showcase has been made with shaders but even with the vanilla glow effect the feature would be welcome

  I’ve seen a lot of people request this, and this would be so cool!! It would also look really cool when you display armor on an armor stand, and people could use armor in other ways for decorations in a build, like if they used a helmet with glow trim to make a disco ball or something!

  To do this, you have to find a new armor trim in ocean ruins: the glowing trim.
  You can only upgrade an armor piece, that is colored with a trim.
  Upgrading:

  Glowing Armor trim + Armor + Glow Inc Sac = Glowing armor

  I think it should apply to the entire armor piece if its made of leather as the whole thing is dyable.

  I think the best way to execute this is to add another template like the netherite upgrade. It would be able to be put on any armor even if it is trimmed already and instead of using a netherite upgrade template and a netherite ingot, it could use a new template (that is just as hard if not harder to get than the netherite template) and glowstone dust. In summary, it wouldn't be another trim pattern of material, but instead an upgrade, like netherite. This template could even be added in a later update such as whatever the deep dark portal leads to, in order to make it hard to get.

  You should be able to apply glowing ink to the armor, or the trim, or both. This is highly needed.

  glowing armor would be cool if it works as a light source we can use it when mining, it would also be cool if it worked like neon.

  This is as easy as a resource pack! I'm Luke 90% sure this is just adding one line to the json files that control the rendering
