    Please consider adding the ability to trick Piglins with golden trims on the sets of armor too, just like when we use actual gold armor;
    Please consider making mobs who wear armor to be possible to spawn with trims;
    Please consider trims for Horse armors;
    Please consider trims for Elytras.

    I think if you made your entire set of armor had gold trims it should act the same as if you had a piece of gold armor on, feel like if you had full golden trims it would be special enough that it wouldnt make the regular mechanic of gold armor useless

    I would also really love to see some trims for tools/weapons/horse armor/shield all that stuff, since making those unique would also be a really cool thing

    I think they have been implemented wonderfully. The way you get the templates is also exactly what this game needs, exploration. Its also great that we can craft more of them, meaning it isn't annoying to acquire enough for a full set. It also opens the door of customisation and could lead to some amazing things! It could be great if we could apply glow ink sacs to the trims to make them look cool in the dark.

    Excited for the future of this feature and seeing what could come in the future! :)

    It would be nice if you could add trims to leather armour, it would add a whole new world of customization.

    If it's too technically challenging that's fine though, I haven't managed to mod it in to see if it works since I'm not sure how to get a mod environment working on the snapshots.

    Trim duplication should cost less ore materials, for example, one diamond and 7 rocks than 7 damionds and 1 rock

    The armor trims is great for armor decoration, but it doesn't give me enough motivation to go on a explore to collect it or consume a lot of materials to reproduce it, accidentally obtained armor trims from abandoned structures will only get less and less interesting over time, the armor trims need more uses than just decoration, so i list some uses for each of inlay materials when its inlayed on the armors:

    Iron - increase armor protection

    Gold - increase armor protection, wont be attack by piglins, can be used for piglin tradement

    Copper - reduce lightning damage

    Diamond - increase armor protection

    Netherite - increase armor protection and knockback resistance

    Lapis lazuli - reduce the experience level consumed for armors enchantment

    Nether Quartz - reduce the experience points required for armor repairing

    Emerald - increase the villagers' trading experience when trading the emerald inlayed armor and can exchange more emeralds

    Amethyst - reduce the damage of potions or reduce the duration of potions

    Redstone - redstone inlayed armor will emit light when player touching the activated redstones including activated redstone ore

    BTW, because netherite ingot can immune to fire, so when player throwing netherite inlayed armor in the lava or died in the lava, it will leave one netherite ingot item on the lava surface, when player placed lava bucket with netherite inlayed armor in the crafting table will crafted into the netherite ingot also

    The Ribs texture should be equally as bright as the other trims.

    The new armour trims are brilliant but I'd like to see the echo shards added as one of the selectable materials. Currently the echo shards make one item that is useless to a section of players (hardcore). Adding the echo shards as a trim material not only gives them another in-game use but also more variety for the armour trims whilst keeping it restricted so you don't have a rainbow of colours on every player.

    Iron and quarts look to similar. Perhaps have quarts look more shiny?

    I feel like cosmetically, combinations with Leather Armour pads/shoulderplates and chainmail layers could add some more use to the Leather and Chainmail armour sets! And could look very aesthetically pleasing :D

    Also hoping for Horses to have this too! And even a netherite horse armour piece in future, as I think it would look fantastic, and protect your favourite horse even better than a Diamond piece.

    it would be cool to be able to do the same with the other ouril of the game, the swords and trident as bow and crossbow

    I wish there was a way to make then have emissive or pulsating textures like enderman or warden.

    While I can understand giving diamonds more uses with their increased rates, the underground is still on the dangerous side and not someplace I’m typically comfortable exploring, so my diamond supply will stay on the lower end. I think the cost of 7 diamonds to duplicate is a bit much (plus it feels like diamonds were thrown in as a duplication option, as there’s no other indication for using diamonds; it doesn’t feel natural). If diamonds have to be used, I’d say drastically cut the cost.

    We should be able to apply multiple trims to the same armour, plus be able to craft a Blank Trim Template to remove all trims from an armour piece.

    I think it's the right amount of challenging we need it is very rewarding.
    It's a little adventurous I guess more of a reward than an actual adventure. The cost for copying is very pricey to me maybe we can use more materials instead of just diamond and a block. Maybe 4 diamond 2 gold blocks 2 emeralds? The new smithing table system is great but i think there should be a removing process though if need be. Amor trims look great and are very creative with many MANY different combinations. I love it.

    My feedback overall-
    1. Trims on tools and weapons including trident, bows, crossbows and shields.
    2. Glow ink sacks should be able to be applied to trims to make the trims glow.
    3. Horse armor should get trims aswell has a netherite horse armor upgrade from diamond horse armor.

    faire des variantes de la « Netherite Upgrade » pour le fer, l’or, le diamant pour pouvoir améliorer ces armuriers au stade supérieur

    The armor trimming is good but I think instead of duplicating the template it's better to have durability of 2 and breaks like the elytra and then you can repair it with material which makes it more unique
    Also trimming would be good for horse armor and tools to differentiate them (ie silk touch and fortune) while adding netherite horse armor

    We need same material trims on same material armors. Even if it's not visible as much as other ones, it still offers additional angle of variability, so this would serve as a great way to add a more subtle level of detail to the armor without necessarily sacrificing the original texture.

    Also, I think if the Turtle Shell helmet can be trimmed, there should also be an option to add them to the Horse Armor. The thing is, its texture is kinda detailed already, so a subtle dim of the texture or something could be done here to make these trims stand out more.

    I think elytra should have a different thing for it cause it would be a bit overkill if one mechanic was SO encapsulating, besides we have banner plating of the shields already, so maybe something like that? But on the other hand this would be too cluttered.

    I really love this idea and theres so much customization, but I feel like some other structures deserve patterns. Such as the mineshaft, village, or even the igloo.

    Echo Shards would make cool armour trims, also same ore on armour for access to just the different styles of armour would be nice

    Prismarine Shards should be a part of this system and colour armour trims cyan.

    Maybe there should be piglin mines, spawning in caves Y=30 and below. Similar to normal mineshafts except they take the shape of the cave. They give hints to where ancient debris is located, and have the Templates as well. Let’s say one chest with the netherite upgrade thing every 50 chunks, and 1 in every 30 chunk is a mine. However, a few piglin brutes guard the thing. That way, you can find these things WITH A CHALLENGE without getting lost. I would rather fight in a mine with my friends than explore the nether for hours

    I think that the armor trim should come with an increase in durability, it is using diamonds after all so considering it as a “reinforcement” would fit in with the theme. I don’t think the added durability should change depending on what color it is, I also think it shouldn’t be that big of buff, just a bonus of adding the trim.

    I love every aspect of this update

    If there was one feature I'd love, it's to be able to apply glow ink or glowstone to a trim to make it glow like an enderman's eyes. That would make trims really cool and even useful as you could be visible to your friends in the dark. To remove that effect, a quick wash in a cauldron will wash the glow away.

    For those calling it too expensive, that's the point. By the time you access the trims, you'll already be late mid/end game. You'll have plenty of diamonds that are worthless to you. This gives them a use.

    I think copying patterns should cost 3 diamonds instead of 7, it's nice that it's expensive but maybe 7 is too much.

    Could be that or, as someone has said below, using the patterns leaves them in a worn state like the elytras and that you have to repair them with materials or re-sharpen them in a grindstone

    I think the armor trim templates are way too expensive to duplicate for a cosmetic item. Perhaps change the duplication recipe to 3 material at the bottom, 3 diamonds in the center, and the smithing template at the center top. Netherite Upgrade template should stay as is.

    I think that the fact it’s a one time use makes me less likely to use it as I would be unable to decide the best piece of armour to put it on. I suggest having it be used multiple times (4 maybe) then have it be able to be repaired with diamonds, kinda like Elytra and phantom membranes.
