ever since copper was introduced it has now become one of the most common and abundant resources in minecraft.
however i feel like its lack of uses don't justify its abundance. think of other resources
iron: used in more crafting recipes then any other resource besides wood, used to make tools, armor, anvils, golems etc
gold: used for piglin trading, golden apples, required for curing zombie villagers netherite ingots, avoiding conflict with piglins and can also be used for armor and tools.
diamonds: needed for enchants. some of the best armor and tools in the game being beaten out only by netherite which needs diamond gear to make anyways.
now what about copper? building blocks spyglass, lightning rod and .........that's it
for a abundant resource that's easy to find and everywhere there just isn't that many uses for it.
so why not make clocks and powered rails use copper instead of gold to make copper a bit more useful I don't think this will be a big deal especially since the nether update players need as much gold as they can spare. or at the very least introduce new recipes that will make players like myself actually want to mine copper instead of ignoring it or being disappointed cause i thought the green parts were diamonds from a distance while cave mining. as it stands right now copper isn't useful enough to be as common as it is
