Bookshelves can contain books

In Minecraft, I don’t really understand the use of bookshelves because they just stand for decoration. It would be really cool if bookshelves could have books in it. Like, when you open a bookshelf it could open a row of books for you to select from to read. And just like real life, you could remove books from bookshelves and and new ones. In my opinion, a single bookshelves should be able to hold 3-5 books. It should probably be a little like a chest, but it can only accept books. I also think normal books without being written in should not be able to be put inside a bookshelf. And this could be for after, but you could also include an enchantment that allows more books to be put in or an enchantment for books to automatically drop from a player’s inventory if they are 30 or more blocks away from the bookshelf it was placed in. When a bookshelf, it should also drop all it’s contents as well
