You can always try mods, there are many great mods on fabric/forge

They have a lot of work to do on updates, they can’t change heir plans because of this. I suggest using mods.

1.20 is in the works, download Minecraft preview or Java snapshots, make sure your on an updated version (make sure your not playing on Xbox 360 or PS3 because they will never update again) or if your on Java get mods!
