I would like to make a suggestion for improvements to Bedrock version's super resolution and temporal upscaling available for use with DXR.
Specifically, I suggest the following features be added/improved:
- Nvidia DLSS updated to v 2.5.1
- AMD FSR 2.2 support added
- Intel XeSS support added
- Ray Tracing support is enabled on Xbox Series X|S consoles alongside FSR 2.2 support to improve performance
Minecraft DXR is a very demanding game, as is natural for a path tracer. GPUs are continuing to get more and more expensive, causing players to be stuck with older hardware or only be able to afford lower performing models of new GPUs. By enhancing and adding additional support for super resolution and temporal upscaling, we can allow more people to get the performance they need to play with ray tracing.
Also, ray tracing on 9th gen Xbox consoles should be added. By using FSR 2.2, these machines should easily be able to reach 30+ fps at 1080p (Series S) and 4K (Series X). To prove it, I was able to run ray tracing on my Radeon 680M integrated GPU at 900p with a FSR 2 over DLSS mod at 30+ fps. Both Xboxes are significantly faster than the 680M, and should handle 1080p and 4K via FSR 2 with ease. I have attached a screenshot of proof (hopefully it shows up correctly, this is my first time submitting feedback so I'm inexperienced!)
