Enchanting Table Rework

Since the addition of 1.14, villagers have been the best way to enchant your equipment and tools, with the enchanting table only being used for basic enchantments early game. With how random the enchantments you get from the table are, it is a much better idea to setup villagers for every enchantment that you want every playthrough. The enchanting table is a heavily outdated feature that needs a rework to stand up to later game needs and provide a worthwhile alternative to villagers.

    You're right. For starters, it's worth nerfing the reroll to trade.
    As for the table, I think we should make our own library of enchantments in chiselled bookshelves. (books are enchanted with random enchantments, and equipment is only enchanted with what is on the shelves). It is quite possible to create conditions for this.

    I second this other comment. Using Chiseled Bookshelves, you can influence what enchantments you get from the Enchanting Table, via Enchanted Books that have been collected from loot, trading, bartering, or a lucky roll of the Enchanting Table itself. Growing your collection will lead to better results.
