I know this idea has been posted multiple times already but I’m expanding on the concept.
The wrench would be a survival-obtainable tool that would have uses similar to those of the debug stick. Like the debug stick, it would be able to change the orientation of blocks, making building easier when in tight spaces or when trying to make a pattern with glazed terracotta. It could also change the shape of stairs to add more freedom when making designs with stairs. It would not, however, be able to do some of the other things that the debug stick does such as waterlogging blocks. The wrench would also be able to change the open and close of trapdoors. For example, iron trapdoors automatically place sitting horizontally and must be powered to stand vertically. The wrench could be used to change this, so that the trapdoor will be vertical when unpowered. This could make certain redstone machinery easier to construct, and would also allow for iron trapdoors to more easily and effectively be used in decoration, since there no longer has to be a hidden redstone component powering it to stand vertically.
