- If not switched, then train on the main line goes straight from North to South and South to North
- If not switched, then train on turnout line coming from the North goes to the main line to the South
- If switched, then train on the main line coming from North stays on the main line to the South
- If switched, then train on the main line coming from South goes to the turnout line to the North
- If switched, then train on the turnout line coming from North goes to the main line to the South
