Three locomotives can be coupled together. This will create a 3-unit locomotive and the train will become a 'high-speed train'.
Not more than three locomotives can be coupled together.
When clicking the 3-unit locomotive with the 'Use Item' button, the 'combustion menu' opens. The 'combustion menu' looks similar to the 2-unit locomotive but has three fields for coal or charcoal and three icons indicating 'fired up'. When all three icons show 'fired up', then the 'high-speed train' locomotive can be run.
Driving the train, coupling minecarts, and dismounting the driver's cart works exactly the same as for the 'basic train'.
The maximum speed of the 'high-speed train' is 32 blocks per second (32 bks/s).
The fuel consumption is three times as much as for the 'basic train'.
When the 3-unit locomotive has only two 'fuel fields' fired up, then the train's maximum speed is only 24 blocks per second (24 bks/s). When it has only one 'fuel field' fired up, then the train's maximum speed is only 16 blocks per second (16 bks/s).
