In addition, devs can make chunks cubic, this will improve optimization.

I am absolutely no expert on the topic, but some tasks within a computer cannot be broken up into a multi-core workload.

The common comparison I have seen to this is you cannot make a baby born quicker with more women. It simply is not possible with this game without a significant rewrite to the entire game, breaking many more things than it would fix. Even with a rewrite, I am extremely doubtful of how effective this rewritten minecraft would be at actually utilizing 4+ cores for chunk loading.

Now, if we get creative, we could work around this. First workaround would be to use some sort of chunk pregenerator mod. Preload a bunch of chunks, so whenever you are in game, you are not loading new chunks. This is probably the best workaround there is. Minecraft already utilizes as many cores as it can. Having some extra cores so that your background programs do not get in the way is the only thing more cores does for you.

Sorry, I would love to see this too, but all this will ever be is a dream.
