Coal diamonds

Here's a feature that could be added, So apparently in real life, you can somehow compress coal to get a diamond. In saying that, this could be in-game. If you make a coal block and break it, you’d have a small chance of getting a “Coal Diamond”, which you have to make a brush of some sort to dust off the coal (or else it can't be used in crafting). After this, you can then use the diamond in the crafting grid (or anywhere else). This feature may help speedrunners and add a little bit of realism to Minecraft without removing it's fictional side.

    Ooh, that sounds like a good idea for the brush. However, I doubt they would agree with it being as simple as mining a block of coal a bunch of times. Maybe a new block could be added for the sole purpose of compressing the block of coal into the coal diamond, I'm thinking something involving the piston. And since we can already dual-wield anything(at least in Java), why not take it a step further and be able to hold the coal diamond as an item in our off-hand as we brush it with the main hand? (That might be a bit of a stretch, though, but it would still be something to think about.)

    It should be a new block crafted with:

    2 pistons,

    1 blast furnace,

    6 crying obsidian.

    This would create a Pressure Furnace. When you put a block of coal or charcoal in the Pressure Furnace with fuel, it will eventually compress into a diamond. This process takes a lot of fuel: a single block of coal or charcoal fuel will smelt one diamond, or a bucket of lava can do nine. And you can't use low-grade fuels in the Pressure Furnace, only coal, charcoal, or lava.
