I have the suggestion of placing a certain block (ie: redstone repeater) on top of a noteblock to change how the octave is played. If it has a 1-tick delay set, it changes the octave of the note played into 1 octave down, NOT the note played. If I play an F#4 on a noteblock with a repeater set on a 1-tick delay, it should play the F#3 note. If the repeater has a 2-tick delay set, it changes the octave of the note played 2 octaves down, so for example, F#4 becomes F#2, and so on. If the repeater has a 3-tick delay set, the octave goes up by 1 octave, F#4 becomes F#5, and if the repeater has a 4-tick delay set, the octave should go up by 2, F#4 becoming F#6. This idea is mainly for more "in-depth" customization for players who can manage the repeaters required for the noteblocks. It balances out customization with requirements, and it makes the player have to adventure out to customize noteblocks more. Then again, I am no expert, and this is just a base idea. Thank you for listening, Mojang.
