Nametag + Dye = Coloured Nametags

I know we can just use Mods, but in the Anvil or crafting table, could you put in a Name Tag alongside a coloured dye, so that the text is coloured? I’ve been dealing with villagers recently and I feel like having coloured names for each of them could help distinguish them by bad/good/trades etc. What if this could be done to the names of regular items too? Like, put an item in the anvil alongside a dye and then when you put the item in an item frame it gets coloured text?
