I will explain the system and why and who they can be practical:
Basically we will have in the settings or somewhere a menu where we can invite our friends to "exchange/copy" maps directly with the same operation as multiplayer without the transfer going through servers.
Why would I wish that was possible?
It's simple I'm on a project with a friend we start it on this map but he's less available than me and suddenly we can't move fast enough when I could move much faster if it was my own map.
And message to Mojang: If the fact that players can obtain Addons (Textures and Beheviors packs) on console is a problem for you, you can simply make sure that it is not possible to transfer textures and beheviors with the map.
