The Chain Claw would be a new ranged weapon
The use would be very similar to a Fishing Rod, right click to throw the claw: whenever the claw hits an entity, it will pull it towards the user, depending on the volume of the entity:
- 1 block^2: 100% the distance between the user and the target
- 2 blocks^2: 80% the distance between the user and the target
- 3 blocks^2: 50% the distance between the user and the target
- 4 blocks^2: 25% the distance between the user and the target
- >5 blocks^2: the entity cannot be pulled back
These values refer to the hitbox size of the target, except for the Wither and the Warden, which cannot be pulled back; having a Shield raised prevents being pulled back, however the target drops the Shield
Upon impact, the claw deals a base damage of 3 (a Netherite Chain Claw would deal 6 damage): this damage is melee damage, so it's not reduced by Projectile Protection
When the Claw hits a solid block, it will return to the user: if it hits a Target Block, however, the player will be pulled towards the block
It is possible to use 2 Claws at once, by having one in the off-hand: doing so allows the player to remain attached to a Target Block and still use the second Claw
The range of the Claw is about 30 blocks
The Claw can receive Unbreaking, Mending, Curse of Vanishing and a new enchantment: Burglar
Burglar would allow the player to be able to pull the item held by the target instead of the target itself
