Beacon Extender/Repeater

I think there should be an item, which if you place it within range of an active beacon, should extend the beacon's range, like having another beacon where you place it, but it is cheaper. I feel this could go a long way if you are doing a big mining trip, because you wouldn't have to keep stopping to rebuild your beacon closer to where you are.
