Bring back the fireflies!!!

Developers bring back the fireflies. Don't let the frogs eat them, let them just fly over the swamp.

    They already know the demand, but it is low priority at this time.

    They could also add a new mob that mimics the firefly - like a will-o'-wisp?

    It would be cool if you could put fireflies in bottles to make a new decorative light source... but that would probably go against Mojang's whole "protect nature" attitude. :P

    they said that they removed fireflies because they're poisones to frogs. my solution make it so frogs don't eat fireflies (;

    Ambiance is amazing and firefly’s really add to them idrc if frogs eat them I just want them in the game and glass bottles could catch them making a new flickering light source firefly jars if it needs a feature yk

    PROBLEM: Mojang said they didn't want to add fireflies because they poisones to frogs, SOLUTION: Make it so frogs don't eat fireflies.

    We really need the fireflies. adn even if is only for ambience. we really need it. I think that one way to prevent fireflies from eating is to mix the light from the fireflies with the glow squid ink. I would put the ink to use and the frogs would not eat fireflies but glow squid ink, and this does not exist in real life.

    i think the poisonous thing was an excuse to not add more features. why would mojange be so near sighted as to remove an idea alltogether for something as stupid as that and as easily fixable. add or online riot will be in order

    Put them in the cherry blossom biome, make it like a paradise.

    When I think of Trails, I think if fireflies. I don't know why.

    Actually, would be really cool if they can "spawn" in a player-made village on the swamp.
    This would give the swamp a really good overhaul (and a nice incentive to spent more time in the biome itself, besides the new changes on librarians)

    when fireflies where sacked everyone was disappointed. why not just have them exist and not get eaten :(

    Or they don't even need to be a mob. Just a rare-ish ambient particle that shows up here and there in the biome at night.

    i think it sets a bad precedent if they are in the swamps, as players may think the frog would eat them. i think there should only be regular flies, as a sort of "particle effect" like in basalt deltas, but toned down and only in clusters.
