Item Suggestion - Echo Clock (Multi-dimensional clock / Phantom detector)

My suggestion is to improve clocks similarly to how the compass was recently improved.

The crafting recipe would be a clock in the center and surrounded by 8 echo shards.

This new echo clock would tell you the time regardless of the dimension you are currently in. This would not only make clocks more useful, but it would also add another use to echo shards.

There are times where you need to leave the Nether by building a new portal (such as in a bastion to gets frogs in the there, easier access to a cool biome, you got lost and can't find your original portal, so on...)

For the End, maybe you've traveled, slept in a bed at night, broke it in the morning, adventured to the stronghold that way, and your base isn't at spawn. 

The point of the echo clock is to let you know when it's safe (day) in the overworld so you can return without being attacked by nighttime hostile mobs upon your return.

For even more functionality, the clock could be blue by default. If phantoms are able to spawn, the clock would turn red. This would make the clock useful to bring for mining trips underground or long adventures in the overworld.

Adding either suggestion, or both, could be a nice upgrade to the clock item.
