When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Kudos to you for writing such a long thing! These are really good ideas and I agree with them all! And I also agree that even if they don't add mine carts, they should make them MUCH faster. Surprised this doesn't have more comments or votes... it deserves them! These are really good ideas you got!

Yes, minecarts really need their speed increased up to at least around legacy console speed, which is double the current speed of 8m/s. For comparison the average horse can reach 9.5m/s and the fastest horse can reach 14.2m/s. Neither of these require lots of building or stacks of iron to use while being faster and if you want even more speed, you can build an ice road and get 40m/s. I can see why minecarts haven't been made a lot faster already due to derailing but just give players a way to make minecarts faster and leave them to find a creative solution to the problem.

Yep, would like to see single minecart mechanics remaing the same, but then they go faster the more you link together. Maybe also make powered and detector rails relient on signal strength, so you can control and detect speed much more easily. If they feel this needs balaceing, maybe the chains can come apart under too steep hills or sharp corners

In the Nintendo Version of Minecraft, minecarts are so fast and great for rollercoasters but in the new Minecraft, they are slow and boring. I hope mojang fixes this!

quite nice to see this, looks like I'm not the first one to think about the variety issue, and yeah the speed really need to be increased

if mojang worried about breaking an already made contraptions then a good solution is to just add a new tier of minecart rail like double or triple speed the powered one, and what if they can goes diagonal by default that would be so much more flexible, talking about dispenser minecart i do also think it should be able to put block on its respective direction as well, more i would like to add to it's addition would be scaffolding rail that just work similar to scaffolding but longer since it would be nice to see a free non supported railway, and you see where i'm going with this since if you combine the scaffolding rail with dispenser minecart you basically got a flying minecart highway and that probably can be very awesome to use for both travelling and infrastructure.

Yes. Mojang needs to reimagine the Furnace Minecart and make it more like a train locomotive that pulls other Minecarts with Chains instead of pushing them like the old one. Besides Minecarts being faster, they should have sort of a cruise control kind of system where you speed up with W and slow down with S (or other similar movement controls for console and mobile players). Since there are so many more travel options (Ice Boats, Happy Ghasts, and the upcoming Horse Upgrades and the Nautilus in 1.22), Mojang please make Minecarts the best travel again.

Minecarts used to be fast in bedrock, now they are very slow even when powered.
