Chests of different woods

Chests can be made from different types of wood. They will vary in color. In villages and other structures, chests will change depending on the biome.

    What about a compromise? Wood chests in all the wood types, and the normal chest stays in as the "default" chest, making the "Only one wood for chests!" thing obsolete. And if you use 2 dif wood chests, it just makes a blended area that has a "random" patchwork of planks of each type.

    Lately they've been adding a lot of variants for wood and I feel like chests just need this diversity applied to them. I believe the classic chest should be made by any mixture of 2 or more woods. When using a consistent wood it should get a unique texture like doors, trapdoors, etc.

     

    On a related note: It would make mods consistent, instead of having mods add variant chests inconsistently, it would be the default approach.

    yeah, it doesn't make sense to have the same chest in the overworld and in the nether. the nether structures should use warped/crimson chest, while village types will use oak/acacia/spruce/jungle

    (jungle is for desert, since their doors are jungle too

    Honestly we need Wood Variations for all wood things. I know for sure Ladders need them as well.

    Doing this by giving us a Cherry Blossom Village and matching Villagers. Give us a matching Wooden Tool Set and Shield while you're at it. Anything commonly made from oak resulting in the standard chest with its boring color, should've been given a color palate consisting of the wood types we already have. As for the two Nether Wood Types, Warped and Crimson, instead of 8 Wood and 1 Iron Ingot, you should be able to replace either the Iron Ingot or 1 Wooden Plank with either a Blaze Rod, 1 Blaze Powder, a Magma Cream, or a Fire Protection Potion or a Fire Resistance Potion. And this would only work if you make the Shield out of either Warped Wood or Crimson Wood, because both Wood Types are Nether Exclusives and having a Fire Protected/Resistant Shield in the Nether would be very useful 

     

    Here's an example of what a Plains Village would look like when given a Cherry Blossom Makeover. The Village was near the Cherry Blossom Biome, so thought that it would fit to change all the Oak Wood with Cherry Wood, and I think it looks more beautiful after the makeover

    A great idea 

    Not only chests

    Crafting table, bookshelves, torches, sticks, sword, pickaxe, shovel, axe, hoe, bow, crossbow & fishing rod.

    In addition to chests, we might as well have different barrels and different ladders to reflect the other wood types as well.

    Should be a Free Bedrock Add on
