Chests of different woods

Chests can be made from different types of wood. They will vary in color. In villages and other structures, chests will change depending on the biome.

    Yes. With all of the new wood types that have been added, I would love different styled chests depending on the wood used. Or, the ability to dye chests would be great. Either way would be amazing

    We have the same chests for ten years. We have dif variations of signs, fences, beds, but not chest.

    That's a perfect idea! I've been waiting for chests of different woods since 1.7... It'd greatly diversify the game.

    this is a good idea, because the chest that is in the game is absolutely not combined with the cherry tree, which will be added at 1.20

    I think to myself often that every player's chest and storage room looks the same with no variability. It'd be a great change of pace to have players be able to personalize their storage and chest rooms by having different chest wood types. Doors and trapdoors have different wood types and textures, why not chest?

    I'd love to have cherry wood chest in my storage room instead of the same chest every other person uses; they could even have different thematic textures to fit their wood/biome they come from.

    That makes a lot of sense after the cherry wood type was added. Oak chests just don't fits in buildings from cherry wood. As well as crafting tables, barrels etc. too.

    Yes, please! That would be a very cool innovation. So tired that the old chests don't quite fit the color pattern of the new blocks.

    this would be so good because we will be able to recognize between chests, literally the most helpful thing about wood variants feature and they dont add it

    This adds unnecessary item clutter. Its a nice idea to help theme builds more but it was just be annoying dealing with loads of different types of chests AND not being able to use any wood with one another to make a chest anymore.

    Concordo com essa sugestão, mas poderíamos pensar em visuais diferentes para cada tipo de báu, assim como são as portas.

    Fazer uma mudança para que somente a cor do baú mudasse dependendo da madeira que fosse feita não seria tão produtivo para o jogo.

    This is an awesome idea, and I fully support it!

    It would be nice for making the chests fit in in dungeons (dark oak), different villages (wood of the village type - e.g. plains = oak wood), and also just to spruce up builds!

    Please add this, Mojang!

    I too think that we should have a type of chest depending on the wood used and to leave the classic chest it would be enough to mix various types of wood suddenly the game would leave the basic one that we all know
    and precisely the base one could be dyed... that wouldn't be great!!

    Il y a plein de bois différents. Il y a des planches de différentes couleurs, des bateaux, etc mais pas de coffres. En conclusion c’est logique 😁

     

    There are lots of different woods. There are boards of different colors, boats, etc. but no chests. In conclusion it makes sense

    Yes, as well as double chests of different types, but you can’t make a double of two different wood types
